New subscriber and will continue to follow your beautiful work. I prefer artist loft for my base and wonder what your primary reason is for using house paint?
@TinasInspiredArt2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for being here. My main reason for using house interior paint was for the convenience, the ability to use straight out of the can and for how large of a can I can get.
@carolhanson38932 жыл бұрын
First time viewer to your channel, this is very pretty! Do you thin your base? Is the house paint base used because the density hold your colors without their sinking? I love your style!
@TinasInspiredArt2 жыл бұрын
I use no water to thin my base house interior paint and my layered paints are 3:1 floetrol to paint.
@carolhanson38932 жыл бұрын
@@TinasInspiredArt And is it used so the colors don't sink or something else?

Question, I just recently purchased bottles like the ones you are using so I could have a bunch of pre-mixed colors, so my question or questions would be what medium do you mix your paints with and do you do it as you need them or do they hang around for a little while? I started with a set of 12 different neon colors that were already premixed with something and I had transfered them into a smaller version of those bottles and so far I haven't had any problems with the paint. I was planning to mix my other colors with floetrol and paint only and just wanted to make sure it would be safe to have them sitting around pre-mixed. Hopefully that makes sense 😅😁 And it came together amazing, those colors are phenomenal 👏😍
@TinasInspiredArt2 жыл бұрын
I mix a batch up to fill the bottle and use it till gone. 3:1 floetrol to paint with no water at all.
@Dr.Evil4202 жыл бұрын
Awesome, good to know. Thank you for the response. 😁👍 love the artwork
@waynematthews27712 жыл бұрын
Well, by looking around a little, I found the answer to my first question - but now I want to know where you found that blowing device that looks like a straw with something flat on the end. Do you find that better than just blowing? Thank you!
@TinasInspiredArt2 жыл бұрын
You can find the straws all over the internet. Shop Fluid Art straw tool.
@TinasInspiredArt2 жыл бұрын
Yes I prefer this to blowing mostly because I have long hair and I often forget to put it up or back and it would get in my paint if I did not use the straw.
@ursulamackinnon1198 ай бұрын
So are you mixing your colors with aussi floetrol or regular floetrol….base paint has nothing in it correct?
@TinasInspiredArt8 ай бұрын
I prefer to use Regular Floetrol. with my base paint I use straight from the can when selecting semi or gloss. If the paint seems too thick, you can easily mix in some Floetrol to help thin it out. For flat bases, it's recommended to mix the base with Floetrol for optimal results. Through my own experimentation, I've found that gloss and semi-gloss finishes tend to work the best with this method.
@karenavery3672 Жыл бұрын
You use house paint as a base-why and is that a problem?
@TinasInspiredArt Жыл бұрын
Yes I do because it is a thicker consistency straight out of the can. If you need to thin it all you have to do is add a little floetrol to it. So simple is why I started and that is how I developed my Botanical Dutch Pour technique. I don’t use the flat as it seems to dry differently but always use semi gloss.
