Yeah that's an insightful point. I think this channel has a much more positive impact on wow than people might guess. There's at least a couple of ideas they've taken off this channel (mostly harmless fun plays that people loved) and worked into some of the gameplay.

I use to do a bit of wow parkour my self, you might find using a worse computer makes it easier for terrain jumps, im not sure why but it does, and use some sort of motorcycle as its the only type of mount that can jump in place.

The lumber mill on Arathi Basin seems like a good spot for Nelf marksman hunters. Due to their increased range an stealth they could provide a very strong defense.

Also a way to get out of the temple/orbs BG starting area by jumping on the fire pits above with Druid charge ability or w/e it's called. At some point you can keep getting higher and then glitch through the top and get a major head start with the goblin glider.

That's an extremely sharp play mate...you sound like you've been doing this a while yet I don't think I've heard of you. I think that is a variant of a play Jacobskipper (imo best bg exploiter of all time) discovered though I don't think even he knew there was a spot it worked in temple. Btw There were some very recent, unusually thorough anti-exploiting changes to temple, have you tried this recently?

These are the videos I wait for :) Can't find any other like them on KZbin. As a healer love being able to simply run up a stump/rock when needed. Recently leveled a Shaman because of the Gust of Wind exploits you showed. Thank you! Mind me asking is there a Website where I can find more terrain/jumping tricks? Aww thanks so much, you have no idea how much that cheered me up. There isn't really a resource for terrain/jumping tricks as such, that said over the years a lot of material has been posted at ownedcore, so a search on the forums should yield a lot of stuff. I've also heard that people on twinkinfo.com are forever finding ways to jump into trees. Btw If you haven't seen my first wow pvp exploits guide I'd have a look, these two videos contain pretty much all the major ones. The Magister's terrace buff was actually used for what I consider to be one of the greatest exploits ever. You could kill the vexx eels with a pet, dismiss it, reset the instance and repeat and get a 5000% pet damage buff. Then you could take the pet somewhere and kill anything with it. Someone soloed an entire alterac valley team with a wrathguard, there's a video somewhere. That got fixed, though there might be things that can still be done with it...

There is a way to get out of the starting area (Alliance side) in battle of gilneas and I think I might be the only one who knows but there is a lamp post on the back left side that you can jump onto from the boxes nearby and jump onto the house where you can then just jump out of the gates and walk wherever you please.

Archvaldor's Warcraft Hacks GAH, you're right. When did they make this change? I used to be able to walk around but that *was* a couple of years ago. It still gives a slight head start though, especially on a fury warrior with the triple heroic leap. You can cap WW before the horde even touch the water. Crazy advantage. By the way, fantastic video. I was watching some of our previous vids and I saw the bloat exploit and laughed my ass off. Man I wanna try that but it feels risky. Might get a trial account to try it out lol... that is if they didn't fix it by now.

That's a really good idea with triple leap I'm going to try that. Unfortunately you can't actually cap any more because the flags don't spawn till you can reach them on normal mounted speed. (our friend below VOTU came up with an amazing workaround for the teleport field involving darkmoon tigers and I think that made them go nuclear on flags:)) What you can do is engage the horde in combat before they reach the flag and force them to dismount. You'll probably get killed but your team will be able to cap unharassed. You can also bypass the tele field which lagging though not for very long. Ty For compliments, sadly bloat got fixed. I'm petitioning Blizzard to introduce a beer squirting holiday.

What about the little beehive things in Shadowmoon Valley? They drop these food items that heal you for 30% of your HP instantly. You can't have more than 5 at a time and they disappear after some hours, but they work anywhere in the open world, in combat, and have no CD, so you can instantly heal yourself for 150% of your HP at any time.

I'm really big on WPVP (even in Legion, at its very worst in the history of WoW) so they're really nice to have. Hmm. I can't recall any items like that dropping in Tanaan. When that patch hit was very close to when I was perma-banned, though, so I missed out on a lot of it.

I have to say that I love you so much! I went on my lvl 87 fury warrior and equipped two handed nad one handed and I did 1.4M dmg while second on the board did only 680k so I can say that this is insanely good. Also if you dont have bladestorm, then I would recommend you using wrecking ball instead of avatar.

Well as I demonstrate in the video you can do it at 100-109 (where people already have their artifact weapons) very successfully. My understanding is that the effect persists at 110 but becomes proportionately less effective as players develop artifact traits and the ilvl of the af weapon. It seems to be strongest in the 80-90 bracket.

There is a lot of truth to that. I don't know if you noticed the gas debuff thing in dalaran. That was running as a live exploit for two months. Normally I would have posted that and it would have got fixed in a few days. I didn't (too tied up with mywith levelling video) and they obviously couldn't figure out where it come from.

You are not "letting someone have an advantage" death gripping the terrain exploiter, you are prioritizing a low-value target, that gives the enemy team an advantage. Also, you are targetting someone you almost certainly won't be able to kill. If the shaman is resto then 9 times out of 10 I'm going to be able to get away, you'd need to perfectly execute a stunlock with multiple players to kill the shaman, or they are going to get back on the elevated area in seconds. By far the most effective way to deal with a terrain exploiter is to ignore them altogether and attack a different base/area.

You've already explained the advantages and benefits of the exploits in your video. My warrior friend and I are trying to cap a target and you're not letting us as you're out of range and able to hit back. So what's so bad about my DK gripping you down so we can put you in a world of hurt and then cap the flag. Or are you saying you're so good of a player that no small team of melee would ever have a chance against you and we should just give up and move on?

There are situations where death grip would be optimal. However such situations are somewhat contrived. In practice it doesn't happen that often. In the example where you describe it probably wouldn't be a good idea. Death grip often misfires, and some terrain exploits put you out of its range. If you are within grip range then it is probably really easy for the shaman to get back on the elevated point. Can you and your friend stunlock and killme before I get back up? - bear in mind I have all my defensive cooldowns because I'm not using them up on the roof or whatever, The attackers have to be at the top of their game and I have to screw up big-time. If I'm playing resto then I really shouldn't die to less than four players. Healers just do not die that easy. Essentially it comes down to the fact that it is better for you to attack the enemy where they are weakest rather than in entrenched, fortified positions.

Well it's lucky then I don't really play a DK. My mains a hunter and well I don't shy away from a fight. While I may not be able to kill a healer I can lock them down indefinitely and force them to ignore healing their team for survival reasons. But hey a pub BG is about fun right so just have fun. I'm one player and the glitcher is one player so both teams lose a player. If you want to talk about proper tactics then you're probably playing ranked pvp and thus glitching is mute.

Locking the healer down is a lot more more effective yeah...if you are going to counter a resto shaman using a terrain exploit that's not a bad option at all. In rated bg's you probably would avoid the more obvious tricks (roof-jumping etc) but there are elevated spots which you can get away with which aren't technically terrain exploits but have much the same effects. I wholeheartedly endorse "fun":)

Yeah, to many people it is just common sense. I mean in RL jumping on a rock is not an exploit. Kind of dumb it is considered that in wow. That said, we have blue posts stating terrain glitches are exploits so there is no doubt Blizzard consider it that.

If your team has capped a flag and the other team has not, then hiding the flag makes a win certain. Without being able to kill your flag carrier the enemy team cannot cap and therefore cannot win. Note that if both teams have capped a flag the team that capped last wins-so if the score is 1-1 and your team capped last, flag hiding wins. Another thing you can do if the scores are level or your team is losing is hide your flag while your offensive players kill the enemy flag carrier-then leave the hiding place and cap. Overall flag hiding is a huge advantage.

I hate to say but some of these are hardly "exploits" mainly pointing to the using ability to get to higher parts of the map, and ect, like the Pipe, roof rope, and ect, it just an tactial view, sure it might seem "unfair" as only some classes can get up there, but they like an Sniper getting into spots out of sight but eyes on target, and there no real game breaking doing stuff like that, as you took "time" from aiding the team. if anything all the Parkourin' onthe Map is not exploits at all as those are just better spot for some classes, but other are useless. not every class can gain from it, and they don't give you full affect if the match, as you waste time getting there, so you can be stopped getting there. While things like the mage teleport to defuse is an exploit that is game breaking and unfair as you mention "you can't be stop from defusing" I thought I clear up that little bit atleast so your title isn't 100% misleading and think they'll get ban from just using "spots" that are just better over view. As the "range" classes on the roof could easily be pulled down, Or leap on the roof with an other class. unlike how u did with the mount climb rope and ect exploiting bugs like the gnome under the stairs, using the freeze time and ect ARE exploits , and can risk ban , but not the using your grapple hook, leaps, and ect to jump over things like the pipe, it just an tactical advantage point

Blizzard do not agree with your hypothesis unfortunately. There is a blue post on this which I'm going to be discussing in a future video. Basically getting to any area which not all players can get to is considered a terrain exploit. This is the big problem with Blizzard's definition of exploits: it is completely subjective and inconsistent having little internal logic. I'd add that the gnome under the stairs shouldn't really be an exploit either: small people can in RL fit into small places, bigger people can't. That is just an extension of your sniper analogy. Btw It isn't that easy to pull a player down and it is generally counter-productive. I agree with you about the time invested in getting up there-if the enemy is shrewd they'll just focus their energy elsewhere and the team will suffer from inefficient distribution of manpower. However in most plausible scenarios you gain from the use of a terrain exploit.

Environment advantage should never be considered exploit. Blizzard should just develop the whole battle area where environment can be used in such a way on purpose. Only reason its called an exploit is because environment are cosmetics. It has zero purpose rather than to look fancy as if the developer did something but in reality all those money we give them just went into useless paintings in an invisible wall. The only limit in battle grounds should be the end of the map. Anyone who can pass further the end of the map is an exploiter, meaning everything inside the border is NOT an exploit.

I'm talking about why Silvermoon is not a fly area. It's an invisible wall with painting. Battlegrounds are the same exact thing. You are not allowed to fly in battleground, nor walk in certain terrain because its simply cosmetics with nothing on it. This are remnants of the old system WoW used to have before the introduction of flying. WoW is also not a sandbox MMO which is why cosmetic design on walls can be climbed. Their simply invisible wall with color. Those swords/shield in the wall inside the flag area in warsong should have been movable objects that breaks when attacked, or fall down when moved if the game is made sandbox. The only reason phased maps are not developed to such point is because of the game engine WoW had which is outdated. They should have used at least used Unreal Engine 4 by now with all that money they had and make WoW 2.

The bg does have borders for example the sky box in AB the sky box does not extend far so you can get up onto buildings but the demon hunters rain from above breaks this allowing you to get on buildings its exploiting

If you are a DK you should be targetting enemy healers. If you pull the shaman down you are going to get t-stormed back, good luck running after the shaman now they are in ghost wolf form and you have just wasted your one gap closer.

Grip has 30 yd range, misfires on buggy terrain and is your one gap closer. Generally speaking you want to just ignore the terrain exploiter. Focusing the terrain exploiter is about the worst thing possible to do-you really want to remove the supporting players then dps them down or better still focus on another flag/base altogether.

DK grip is 30 yd which won't reach a lot of those locations if it doesn't glitch out. In most cases I can get back up on the elevated area within seconds as I have my localized stuns on cooldown. The best way to deal with a terrain exploiter is simply to ignore them and focus attacks elsewhere.

It is the i-scream cryocannon from a quest at the end of the quest chain on the barge in thousand needles. I'm going to make a video about it sometime soon. You don't have to do anything special except do all the barge quests (there are lots of them but they are pretty good fun) and never turn in the final one so you can keep the item forever.

Got it, its cool, i think it is slightly less morbid version of the plague shooters the undead use. There must be other stuff in the lower levels. There's a few items in the gnome starting area I know you can keep, not sure if they have associated visuals.

The first part of it has just been fixed in the last patch update. The freeze macro still works. The freeze macro is much more powerful anyway though it periodically cancels in combat.

Yeah it isn't that obvious. Steps 1. open wow client. 2. enter world 3. press escape, choose macro from the menu. 4. Yeah that's pretty accurate. It is a natural phenomena. I actually found out about this because monks were complaining about lag spikes in pve and rolls that ended up going on forever and killing them in lava or something, which were obviously not advantageous to the monk. You'd really need someone in-game to detect what you are doing. Which may be why I have a GM stalking me.... Another possibility is that they can detect what other programs you are using...but that would be legally questionable from Blizzard's perspective and could result in a serious player backlash if ever discovered. Probably best to send me a private message via youtube, I've had so many problems with PM's.

I've seen a few ideas but in most cases the exploit didn't seem to be superior to grinding bg's/arena. For that reason I tend to focus on exploits within those things rather than exploits designed to directly manipulate honor.

I think you will find with a little practice that dk's aren't so much of a problem. They really nerfed grip this xpac. Probably the best way to deal with a terrain exploiter is simple to ignore them.

Depends if you mean "they attempted to fix it" or "they fixed it properly". About half of this stuff they came up with at least a half-assed fix. About 80% of the fixing was pathetic and has an easy workaround. The strongest plays are still active apart from fury dps.

You could but it isn't likely in non-rated play. In rated if you generate enough reports...though it depends what you do....if you use lag7 to get ironman you run more risk than if you jump on a rock.

That's not one of mine....that's all Blizzard. In most cases I doubt the people using that exploit even know what they did to trigger it....I haven't seen any one isolate the trigger mechanism, at least in a manner that could be reproduced.

With a glitch that obvious I wouldn't use it for anything other than screwing around with-dance with people, have fun with it, turn it into a fun story for everyone. all of these "environment advantages" are just douche bag things people do that ruin PvP for everyone. ever wonder why heroic leap was so annoying for cata, mop, and WOD? yeah, thats because people did this shit so they made it impossible to jump at an inclination. now that more classes have it, it seems like they lightened up a bit. but here we go again to wall climbing like a bitch. lag switches are lag switches, not exploits but cheats. hope anyone who uses these gets a nice permanent ban. these kinds of videos are awesome, though. it really helps with learning how to spot pricks like this. thanks for the quality work on it! looking for exploits and pointing them out is a great way to get them fixed.

I judge exploits based on how I feel when I'm on the receiving end of them. Being knocked off a bridge in AV or killed as a lowbie by some guy squirting orange stuff out of his ears continuously is absolutely hilarious. Terrain glitches / environmental advantages, on the other hand, are usually just dreadful. Being damaged by some guy you can't even see, or can't target, or can't even pull down to yourself with death grip when in range is just incredibly irritating. While I would love for the game's environment to be utilized rather than only serve its purpose in aesthetics, this is not the case with the 2004 engine. And this limitation isn't a good excuse for ruining other peoples' fun. Exploiting is not "the meta", and you people who fancy yourself these cool rebels (and express that players who play the game more or less how it's meant to be played or dislike cheating are below you) are actually just massive faggots. All that aside, though, I love your channel, Archvaldor. It definitely does more good than bad.

I don't think I or any one else has ever directly or indirectly played that regular players are "below me" or I am a "cool rebel". We just like doing it because it is fun. Wow is fundamentally such a silly game I can't take any aspect of it that seriously frankly. With regard to terrain exploits-it can be irritating. It can also level the playing field in a mismatch and create a challenge where none existed. Some of the best games I've ever had were pug vs premade where I used the full range of abilities (which I very rarely do in pvp normally) , it is very interesting to see the premade responds. I suspect those premades remember few of the other groups they roflstomped, but they all, win or lose, remember the time they played against me because they were stretched to the limits of their abilities, and found out how sharp they really are under pressure.

That wasn't directed towards you. I spent some time skimming through this comment section (and ones on some of your other videos) and took notice of multiple people saying things like that. That's a good point, about the terrain exploits. They've always just been really irritating in my experience. This one Horde warlock would sit at the Alliance hub in Tanaan Jungle every single day, raining hell down on everyone, and he would just move out of line of sight when I tried to kill him on my hunter. If he was ever gripped down by a DK, he would pop his CD on that goblin mech thing and fly away.

Depends on the enemy team. If you get a premade camping a PUG and spitting on people and/or other obnoxious anti-social stuff, then yeah. Otherwise mostly not, except for occassional experimentation purposes. Fight with a decent amount of respect for your opponents and you are very unlikely to even notice me. Manage to piss me off and your whole team is going to end up stuck in a wall like flypaper that's been out to long.
