Your watch party reminds me of the time I went into Philadelphia to meet up with other Doctor Who fans to see a VHS copy of Colin Baker’s the Twin Dilemma back in the ‘80s. Anyone spot the old Dr Who name drops in the credits?...Corporal 'Ace Sullivan'?. Ace is obvious but Sullivan is Harry Sullivan from 1974. I also liked the gag about 95% probability of a trap being counted up to 100%. Surely, over 90% and its a cert??.

I've listened to that part a few times now. I think it's one of those things where if you're thinking "Susan" you hear "Susan", but if you think of "Sutekh" you hear "Sutekh".

So nice to see you guys on the edge of your seats,and enjoying Dr Who for the great tv show it still is, thank you so much.....Over the past couple of weeks i have read some horrible disgusting things aimed at the show and its creators and stars, from armchair critics and at least one lacklustre American sci fi writer in particular, (i seriously wonder what the guys problem is maybe in reality he sent some stories in and they were rejected) but not you guys you enjoy the show and celebrate it. Like a few others here ,I was a small boy when Sutekh first appeared and completely terrified me, been a fan since 1974, nearly bankrupted my parents asking for Weetabix just for the collectables and every other week learning to read as i grew older courtesy of Terrance Dicks etc you have my vote guys amazing stuff, loved the whole episode and your reaction to Who in general ,keep up the good work and roll on 00.01 on Saturday morning

Great reaction vid to what for me was an 11/10 episode, I know some have said they dragged it out but that for me (in this case) was part of why I rate it so high, seeing all the breadcrumbs gradually come together to the pay offs was awesome, delaying it just built up the anticipation and tension so much. I have watched it again several times already, and Nguti's reactions were on point with some great acting from the cast as a whole. Plus that voice really makes it extra special. It also had the familiar tech voice we all know and love for the Vlinx, which does have an interesting head so is it good or bad? Vlinx/sphinx? (sphinx is guardian and also represents Horus (the sun and sky god). Horus is Set's (Sutekh's) rival / protector of peoples against Set which would fit as mythology also has another benevolent god that among other things aids the setting/rising of the sun? Hmm, death/(re)birth? Do we have (a) good god(s) or enemy-of-Sutekh god(s) that might help? Also Horus can be Har, eye of horus (hmm, round red gem in Who, as a symbol a protector from deities/evil in mythology)/ eye of harmony (engineered sun, singularity, heart of TARDIS, regeneration link, 'the hitching post of chronology. That which does not flux nor wither nor change its state.'?) Both VERY relevant especially in Who lore perhaps.) On the beast link there are things suggesting they ARE tying the beast/Sutekh together as one entity with Sutekh being its chosen name. Hence Sutekh being called the beast and 'i'm in hell'. Makes sense it being the same entity. Something else I noted, well two things, straight away, 1. There are actually three names linked to red. I'd looked up Susan and Susan can mean rose, which makes me wonder if Rose Tyler was a nice tribute to the first companion, but also could this be relevant, another triad thematically, The Doctor, The TARDIS and the companion? TARDIS means life, memory is time, memories can become stories or songs, so much so beautifully subtly woven together. Memory crops up a lot in this story, just saying.... Life vs death (babies? birth counters death?, the fairy/fate circle?), Mel says something's wrong/ you need to help her when 'Susan' is clearly traumatized by what is happening, and perhaps trying to remember something (that man, bad dreams), could memory- perhaps through the TARDIS itself fighting back- be trying to beat the power Sutekh has over those it is controlling? Maybe the Susan is actually nice comment is literal, Susan is just a vessel for Sutekh's plans, so could she still link to THE Susan as using her in some way would be a way to potentially really break and hurt the doctor, Sutekh does after all mock the Doctor with the 'did you think I was family' line. Could even be a dark twist where Sutekh used Susan's anger at not seeing the Doctor much. Or the TARDIS anagram could be a call for help, again perhaps from the TARDIS itself, and not part of the trap. 2. That huge RUBY in Sutekh's head, is this a bad or good omen for Ruby? SU san SU tekh SU nday. And one thing is bugging me, continuity error or significant? The possibly glitched radio in the Mrs Flood scenes shows 1508 but the Triad Tech launch is at 1500 - the Doctor says time and his memory of the Ruby's 'mother' moment keeps changing- furthermore it is quite some time before the launch unless I missed something so why is the radio showing a time that is later?

As cool as it would be to have the Beast in this special, unfortunately it's not him. For one, they wouldn't give Carla a throwaway line like that and not expand upon it. 'The Beast' is a couple of things though. It's another name for Sutekh, but it's also a name for the Devil, which Carla would understand because her character I believe is Catholic. Bear in mind this is her first experience of alien (or mythological) activity, so it's fair for her to assume anything evil might be the work of the Devil in her belief.

Sutekh the power of twists the clues were hidden in plain sight and names a conundrum of pure mystery an intriguing thing is the figure of the woman in black pointing towards what's coming it could be Ruby's mother or perhaps Ruby herself or perhaps shades of another female time lord the church is the answer the clock tower looked differently twisted may have been the footage but the church might of been another tardis the Rani's Tardis. Another spelling of Rani is Rain what happens when it rains it Floods? When it snows it drifts or sometimes floods of snow. A sandstorm floods and snowstorms flood. Suppose just suppose there's more than one big bad involved there's been something else going on Mrs Flood and Susan Triad and another third aspect of time itself across the series in the whole the tardis has been through a lot she's not at fault but is affected by another time lord my theory is The Rani is Mrs Flood or has been used by Rani. Ruby's Gran and mother are also affected. Here comes a theory to impact the companion question, is Ruby Sunday who we believe she is? She's Rani. Remember Fobb watches well in that box of hers wasn't there one or was it around her neck only the smaller a silver necklace she wears? If Ruby's is Rani her origins then maybe a tiny pit connects to the timeless child a child left on a step of a church of Christians?
