the percentage of having a fear of Crabs is much much lower than those who are scared of spiders, we're talking about 1 in a 1000 having both fears. there are more people who are scared of Chickens than those who are scared of crabs.

I remember one time, I was watching a KZbin video and this guy's friend said he never beat the tutorial of Skyrim because at some point in the cave part there was a couple of giant spiders and he just turned the game off and never played it again. That's the thing about phobias, they're *irrational* fears. For people with crippling arachnophobia, this is a good addition. As someone who isn't scared of spiders at all, while I do think this is a hilarious addition, I do at least appreciate the fact that the people who just straight up cannot deal with spiders in games get an opportunity to play WoW without being stunlocked IRL by pixelated creepy crawlies.

arachnophobia is about the multiple legs and the multiple eyes and its ability to be deadly poisenous. so changing them with crabs is a good move.

Then you weren't arachnophobic. You just thought spiders were creepy. Arachnophobia is an irrational fear of aversion to spiders. They just want more people to play and in an expansion heavily featuring spiders, it would be quite hard for some people to enjoy. It doesn't change what you see, so why let it affect you anyways.

Actually, most modern game tend to have this setting. It's a good thing. Doesn't affect me, neither any of my friends or relatives but arachnophobia is a real thing and it's though to live with it. Watch some documentary.
