Great video to a great game man !! The way I see the story of the game is this: The tomb contains within it the creator of "The Nest" and the master of the valley. That creator wanted to have the Tricos under his control, but when he died, he made sure that idea maintained through time. The cycle was as portrayed: the master sent the Tricos to capture kids in order to convert them into light energy and dark energy. The light energy was used to fill the barrels, that energy has magic and incredible abilities such as healing and resurging and controlling other beings. The dark energy was used to power up the guardian as the kids are converted into shadows and their souls inhabited the soldiers. So, by my conclusion, the guardians are the kids and "The Last Guardian" refers to the last kid that instead of being controlled by the master, it decided to fight against it and destroy it. PD: The tatoos are connected to the master of the valley. When he picked up the shield, he connected with Trico because the essence of the master is still within it, since its a key to the whole tower.

Hey man! Enjoyed the video, what an amazing game/story, right?! One of my all-time favorite games. SPOILER WARNING:: Just a corrective note: Trico's actually male -the boy as the narrating adult always refers to Trico as a "He", as well as Fumito Ueda confirmed Trico's male, so that would make the only other surviving Trico (who we broke the horns of with a mine cart and we saw) climbing some of the ruins as we flew away in the finale escape, Female, hence the baby at the very end -they became a couple. ;) (Unless Trico's can reproduce asexually and those poops are eggs, but I highly doubt that since Trico kicks back to cover them up, just like dogs & cats do after they're done dropping a duce.. 😄💩)
