That is a great example of how fast and unexpected things can go horribly wrong even when it's not something we did to ourselves, I'm so glad those ladies were safe. It's also a huge testament to the build quality of the Ranch Hand products after seeing the photo of the mangled truck and the brush guard that helped absorb all of that incoming energy from the primary and secondary collisions. We have hit two deer. One with a competitor grill guard bumper and once with a Ranch Hand that we currently have. Both times we were going over 50 miles per hour, the one hit on the Ranch Hand was closer to 60 mph. Neither deer caused any damage. With a $500 deductible, we aren't very far from paying for our latest bumper. Without having seen this, we were already convinced that having a quality bumper like the Ranch Hand bumpers is critical both to save money on hitting deer but also in severe accidents like the one in this video. Now if we could just get a matching rear bumper...

Impressive!! I’ve watched many,many of your videos, all of which promote Ranch Hand products, and have never once considered that I would own a grill guard AT ALL, let alone a specific brand. Safety has been one of my biggest concerns as we plan to be pulling a travel trailer in a few months. And then people say aftermarket bumpers are more dangerous in a crash... this HD bullbar most likely deflected the hit from the other car off the side and away from the weak spots in the OEM crash beam which are the left and right-most 15% of the frontal area; probably saving lives in the process.

I got a brush guard on my 2016 Ford E-350 van (shuttle bus) and I've already got to rear end 2 cars in traffic just in the past week in California :) both times they cut me off and deserved it and when I hit them they sped off, both knowing it was their faults. You dont cut off a 10,000 pound Bus and slam your brakes you deserve it :)

That no additional hardware was added. Then crash them separately at a test facility.

The idea in this day is to have vehicles that absorb collision impacts and now, people want to deflect impacts. I wonder if the automotive industry is going to pay attention to this?? Has there been official IIHS 1/4 testing performed though to see what happens with one of these installed on those corner impact tests?

I found out last Monday what a difference a aftermarket bumper/grill guard makes. The accident was my fault as I turned right on red into a car I didn't see. My bumper had about an inch scuff on the line-x coating on the corner. The gentleman's vehicle received two badly damaged passenger doors. I'm grateful nobody was hurt in my first accident ever as a 51 year old driver. Replacement bumpers will be going on my other two trucks once the season picks up.

Man, I want one for my 22 Colorado. I got it and a freaking dog run out in front of me and roped the bottom facia off, damaged the passenger side dust cover in the front wheel well and destroyed the bumper spacer thing. I disagree with the Ram statement. My buddy has a 14’ Gmc Sierra 1500, and that damn thing already has rust over the wheelwells starting. Says his 2011 did the same thing. Of course, he drives about 50,000 miles a year, so that may have something to do with that.
