Maresca is to blame for not rotating in between his A side and B side. There have been lots of opportunities to play Nkunku, Felix and Viega after good cup performances and some floundering A side players. If Santos comes back, Maresca needs to do better to rotate the midfield else one of them will leave and we'll be out of squad "depth" once again.

The issue is that players need to have the temperament, attitude and mentality to be a squad player and be ready when called upon. That's what Chalobah has and the club treated him poorly. Veiga is too slow to be a fullback in the Premier League. His weight of pass is decent but he’s rash and makes some bad decisions going to ground when tackling.
