In addition to those Carol mentioned... the guy shredding on lead guitar is Jake Dreyer from Witherfall - which is another incredible band to check out. I had the pleasure to see them on this tour (a few months after this) when they came to the US. It was one of the best concerts I have ever seen - in almost 45 years of concerts! There are 2 more videos from this concert: "The Gunslinger" and "Crimson King" (which are from Stephen King's The Stand) that are great too. If you notice at the beginning, Hansi says they are going to leave them with a song of hope. On the surface, this seems odd considering the topic, but it really makes sense if you think about it from the perspective that the boy and the girl are now spending eternity in happiness when all we see is the tragedy here on earth. (BTW - the girl was the one that would have eventually married the boy if he hadn't been taken early. So this was consensual on her part)

That was so good on so many levels. That acoustic guitar shown in the beginning had such a beautiful tone to it. I also look at guitars, but I’m not as rabid as you. The first guitar I bought was a Gibson Jumbo Hummingbird. Sheryl Crow has one and she actually autographed the sticker inside! Then about a year and a half ago, I bought a Martin (took me 20 years to afford another one😂), but I can’t remember what model it is because I got a shoulder replacement right after I bought it and my shoulder just hasn’t recovered like it did after my first shoulder surgery in 2004. But anyway, beautiful tone on that guitar. The voices are clearly extremely well trained and well taken care of. Nobody can sing those notes like that and not end up with nodules or some other vocal cord damage. And then the poetry…Holy Moly! If poetry were that good in school (prior to college, I enjoyed college), I would’ve paid more attention and would’ve done a lot better! Great song all around, so thanks Carol! I know and love Hansi in Ayreon, I am not much into Blind Guardian but I checked out this side project. I love the song Timeless Spirit. Maybe you want to check that one out?
