Did the same, good idea, but whats better is to get a black plastic strip instead of a white one then wrapping with a black sticker, with a black strip you dont need to wrap it witha sticker thus making it more thinner and will slide better

Just pull it from the edge of the cover by using a flat shaped tool carefully.

hey. my gear shifter got broken last week. I was thinking about doing this but I wanna know how did you hide the blank spot when going to sport/manual mode?
