Did the same, good idea, but whats better is to get a black plastic strip instead of a white one then wrapping with a black sticker, with a black strip you dont need to wrap it witha sticker thus making it more thinner and will slide better

What was your solution for the blank spot when on manual/sport mode. i was thinking about making this weekend and i have a other rubber part under the slider to hide it

Just pull it from the edge of the cover by using a flat shaped tool carefully.
