Pat harper, was wondering what happened to her. She retired from the news business moved to Spain & died there three years later of a heart attack at age 59. She was survived by three children and several grandchildren. sad

The dot matrix type seen behind the weightlifter Nunez at the Pan American Games, and at the start of Tim Malloy's report, looks like the same font as used on the One Times Square news 'zipper' between 1972 and 1977 when it was operated under the auspices of Reuters. Check films shot around what was then the Allied Chemical Tower in any of the years in that period. (I have counted, over the 32 years [1965-97] that version of the zipper was in operation, four different type fonts.)
