@memyselfandi5936 ай бұрын
Oh, so you get popups for upsell after you say no to the original popup and close the one in WP, and every time you change an image for example you are being sold the image optimiser? Doesn't happen to me -- maybe we are using different versions, or maybe I have a different setting checked, or maybe I just spent the 1 second to say no the one time and not being asked again. I'm not particularly bothered about something that is being asked once or a few times out which is 10 seconds out of the many, many hours it takes to build a site. If it becomes regular, that's an issue, but I just checked and I am not seeing that. As I said, maybe my settings are different to yours.
@adrian.fernandes6 ай бұрын
@@memyselfandi593 The problem isn't just that the ads show up in unnecessary places, but also that clients or other users see them and can't turn them off. Imagine you create a site, and your clients or editors see these ads and end up going through and trying to register via it and cause some additional complications. There is a reason the client is paying for their site to be built and maintained by us. It's not ethical, especially when we're paying for a pro account. If it were free, I could understand. I agree with Paul in saying that at least have a setting for those who want to disable those functions and not just force it down our throats.

You are 100% correct, Paul. This seems to have started around the time they took on VC money and now the focus is not so much on the user of their product but on upselling by any means possible. For the casual hobby developer, this "advertising" shouldn't be too troublesome, but from a professional/agency POV, this is inexcusable. a client could easily wreck a site requiring hours of work to fix. On top of this, one has already given money to Elementor who then can continue to advertise in my face. A better alternative is that en email sequence is sent when a new website is spun up pushing these services/add-ons. In any case, this won't effect me in the future as I've already migrated to Bricks which has been a breath of fresh air compared to Elementor.

Your suggestions for making these features optional would certainly help improve the overall experience for agency owners and developers. 👏 Looking forward to seeing more content from you!
