Great video! Could you please make a more detailed explanation of ACPT with Bricks Builder? I’d love to see step-by-step guidance on how to set it up and use it effectively. Specifically, I’m interested in learning how to create a restaurant menu with different menus, dishes, categories, and all the details. Thanks for the awesome content!

It's more than viable, been my choice for the last year or so. Great product. Yes there are a couple of minor usability issues ( just getting used to the different flow rather than a problem). Developer is very responsive and open to suggestions. Highly recommended, esp with Bricks.

I use Admin and Site Enhancements which does so much. It’s like 20 plugins in 1 including custom posts. Lightweight and effective. If you don’t need a heavily styled interface I recommend it ❤
@LeeBusch5 сағат бұрын
I would also be interested in a comparative review of the major custom post type plug-ins: memory usage, code efficiency, things that matter in a busy production site.

Thanks Paul, would also love to see what you could create with ACPT and Bricks and CF and AT..... I don't really understand yet how and when to apply relationships for complicated websites, so sometimes the more complicated the better and then I can watch again and break down the steps involved, and the logic of it......

Did you look into using the validation rules to set the acceptable file types for the file upload field?
@WPTuts11 сағат бұрын
No, I didn’t. But, that may well be an option for handling things. I’ll take another look and see if that’s possible. 🙏

As an owner of ACF Pro, would you still recommend buying it? Apart from the visual standpoint, the main features aren't different, right?
@WPTuts16 сағат бұрын
If you already have ACF Pro, I don't see anything specific that would warrant swapping unless you want to grab a lifetime deal as opposed to an annual payment.
@noraholmquist823114 сағат бұрын
Depends on your approach to investing in promising startups. One disadvantage of ACF is in its database architecture. - ACF creates two records for each custom field. Metabox creates one. I do not know what ACPT does, but I assume it creates only one, as that approach is more efficient (and modern). Another advantage of ACPT (and startups in general), is that it does not have technical debt to manage. Consequently it can be more nimble in response to requests and events.

Paul thanks for doing this video on ACPT but are you also consider doing one for cubewp. Been hearing good things about it recently thnx
@WPTuts16 сағат бұрын
Possibly. For me, it depends on what tools support CubeWP (Like Bricks, Elementor, etc.)
@akshaysrivastavaofficial19 сағат бұрын
I think MetaBox and ACF have better stability and security as of now. I'm sure, ACPT is a good software but trusting a tool for production sites that are made by indie developers (without any big entity behind it) is little hard for me because let's say if the developer abandons the project for whatever reason, it will be a huge issue to replace it with the alternative. I'm waiting for ACPT to get more mature and stable in terms of market share. Cwickly is one such example of an abandoned product.

Just in time, I bought ACPT LTD today. However, there was a problem with the account login, so I tried to contact ACPT in any way, but I couldn't reach you. It's still the case now. I paid for it now, but I can't use the plug-in.

Haven't watched the video yet but my immediate take is why reinvent the wheel? One reason: it has to be fsr better and easier. If it's not why bother?
