Minor time saves are possible, though luck based:
- Faster or no dream at the end of Year 1.
- Faster or no power outage due to summer storms.
Sub 1:10 is likely possible but it's unlikely I'll attempt it.

Could you marry him in the first year if you give him eggs every day up until the pineapples are ready? Or does it take 2 years no matter what?

Great question! I believe the math worked out that he would be just short in Year 1 even if you gifted him a wrapped egg or oil every non-festival day and lost 0 days to storms.

@@DemoPlaysGames I tested my theory and i was able to marry him on the last day of summer year 1! I gifted him wrapped eggs every day until the pineapples were ready & got the bonus LPs for buy 5, 10, 15, 20, & 25 items from his restaurant :) I also used the Vans Favorite money trick to make sure i got all the upgrades and furniture on time :)

Good to know! Did he turn red on the last available day? There's also a decay system if you don't see him on a particular day like a festival but it's not a guaranteed chance of decay. I'm glad it worked out for you, pineapples ended up cutting so many days in the speedrun that even with the sleeping to the following summer, it ended up being faster to do that then to add in any days in Y1.

@@DemoPlaysGames after I gave him his pineapple on the 30th the heart turned red :) & that makes sense for a speed run! I was just wondering if it was possible for a normal playthrough to not have to wait until the following year :)
