The 300 would be just as quick if not quicker than the WR450 below 100k's an hour, but 2 strokes are definitely not for lazy riders and you really need to work to use the power properly.
@TheSevenSoulsofMan5 жыл бұрын
Don't need to work a 300 2-stroke to use the power properly haha they're basically a 4-stroke!
@georgemiles48965 жыл бұрын
I've got one aha. I definitely know how they ride.

Hi Tom. I' m from Italy. I would like to know your opinion about whether the wr450f can be used as a dual sport bike. Thank you
@RidingWithTom5 жыл бұрын
Maybe for day trips but I wouldn’t use it for multi day/week trips, lots of reasons why

in that kind of trail 250f and 450f doesnt make a difference... you mostly never use it to its full potential... execpt in the straight line where you pass him

There has to be a reason Graham Jarvis rides a Husky 300 !!!
@mackeymichael5 жыл бұрын
@@kx501 No they still have a noticeable weight advantage and the centre of gravity on them is lower.For lower speed technical riding they are unbeatable for just those two reasons. There are some other reasons as well.
@michaelwendler55895 жыл бұрын
@@kx501 I have a 2017 WR-450f that is esentially a YZ-450fx now. Everyone I ride with has been trying to talk me into a KTM or Husky 2t. Was seriously thinking about buying a 2015 Husqvarna TE 300 this weekend. Still trying to decide if it's any better for single track VS my Yammi?

4 strokes have come a long way... Not that long ago, a 250 2 stroke was matched to a 450f.. I'm surprised that the 300 being fuel injected isn't kicking your arse.
@RidingWithTom5 жыл бұрын
For technical enduro you can’t beat a 300 2 stroke, the 450 sucks at the tough technical stuff, but out in the open desert you can’t beat all out 4 stroke power, that’s why you see guys on ktm 500’s on desert racers

I can't see myself owning a two stroke bike, I'm not doubting what people say on how great they ride, but I can't imagine mixing fuel and oil all the time and thinking about engine rebuilds. Sounds annoying, I can hardly get myself to lube my chain and change the oil every 4,000 KM.
@EnkeiTenjin5 жыл бұрын
New 2 strokes have separate oil and fuel now. They self mix
@razerloche95335 жыл бұрын
@@EnkeiTenjin Do you still have to pull the clutch in when you're off the throttle?
@Death666wish5 жыл бұрын
@@EnkeiTenjin Yeah I know about those, but I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere from two stroke people that they don't trust these systems and they prefer doing it themselves, but maybe they don't like change or they're talking about aftermarket ones? I don't know. Still there's all that rebuilding.
@wayde41925 жыл бұрын
Try a Beta - no fuel mixing (oil injection) . Engine rebuilds are lots easier with 2 bangers !
