On January 9, the Warner Robins Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, through its Physical and Mental Health Committee, delivered a variety of collected items to the Lindsey Student Support Center. The Lindsey Student Support Center fosters learning opportunities and cohesion in the surrounding community while offering services aimed at educating the whole child. This delivery included essential items such as sanitary napkins and panty liners in support of the Menstrual Equity for All Act. In addition, toothpaste, toothbrushes, body wash, deodorant, and lotions were provided to support students’ personal hygiene. These donations will be distributed across Houston County schools and made accessible to the broader community. A total of 2.040 items were delivered! Mrs. Bonnie Brown, Coordinator of Student Services, also presented Warner Robins Alumnae Chapter with a certificate of appreciation for our community collaboration service efforts with the Lindsey Student Support Center.
This initiative perfectly embodies Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated’s National Strategic Plan Component of Empowering Women and Girls, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to addressing critical needs in our community. This impactful service project precedes the commemoration of our 112th Founders Day on January 13, 2025.
