The look on your face showed just how worthwhile the rebuild was.

@@thebracketfactory Thanks for the comments, I have been racing MGB-GT's, MGA's and FF's ... Maybe time to something different... Just the fact that there is no harnas and roll hoop scares the hell out of me with open wheels.. Seen to many flips on the track...

@D3Sshooter yes.. that is a very good point.. the supercharged cars running on methanol will do well over 100 mph 😬

First time visit. Beautiful car. Just an FYI on alternator output. An alternator wired in the Delta configuration, as opposed to the Wye, provides more charging current at lower RPM.

I am interested to know why the battery went flat so quickly ? I run my A7 special with the dynamo disconnected and it will go for days / weeks on short trips, before I need to charge it up. First indications that a charge is required is when the starter motor starts loosing spin up speed. Lovely car by the way....! Thankyou...
@thebracketfactory8 ай бұрын
I think it was a combination of the battery being a bit low already and the fact that I run an electric fuel pump, water pump, and fan....And thanks!

5:39 is that a vented master cylinder? Another possible cause for funny brakes..
@thebracketfactory8 ай бұрын
I thought all MCs were vented ! (need to google that now..) - But brakes now work really well thankfully...

DVLA allocated TXS to my 1935 Morgan three wheeler following a six month battle to retain its original registration. I presume they gave you a Scottish one too.
@thebracketfactory8 ай бұрын
TXS seems to be the 'standard' vintage reg to allocate at the moment - I saw a (re-registered) Fergie tractor with one a few days ago. To be honest I was just happy to get a V5 for it!

How does the bump steering feel?

It feels pretty good actually - the lanes around me are pretty bumpy and the car isn't trying to dart all over the place!
@martinhacche13298 ай бұрын
Hi, you are using hydraulic brakes! Did you have trouble bleeding them?
@thebracketfactory8 ай бұрын
Hi Martin, yes the are hydraulic and work very well thankfully - I can easily lock the wheels up. I bled using a vacuum bleeding kit initially, and the a final bleed with the help of someone pressing the pedal down.
@martinhacche13298 ай бұрын
@@thebracketfactory I fitted a hydraulic handbrake to mine and I wonder if this might be giving problems on a single line circuit 🤔
