Absolutely the most beautiful mosaic I've ever seen and that roller mill makes mine pretty Johnny home owner lol but i do have a couple of questions what kind of grinding wheel do for scale removal? I see that you bead blasting after surface grind why? Thanks you do great work and easy to understand teaching

You can get them on amazon here! - amzn.to/3U3PjPk The sand blasting is just for removing a speck of scale here and there. A tip from Jason Knight.

This is a great video and very simply revealed the steps involved. I am planning to do a mosaic in my next billet and am trying to follow the pattern development. I get it to the final 4 way pattern but then you flatten to .75 x 2 making it wide and skinny, you cut the 45s on it which stretches it back out some and I am guessing it comes back to a square pattern again as you stretch it back out. Am I following all that correctly? Thanks. I am loving y'all's channel. Found you from tyrells 3d printed mosaic video. Great job.

Yep! You are correct! Once you tile out the bar and the pattern is on the face of the bar, you can stretch it out to bring the pattern back square. But be careful not to stretch it too far. Thanks for the support! 👍🏼

What is the purpose of sandblasting?

We use the sand blaster to remove any tiny scale spots still left over from grinding. Tip we picked up from Jason Knight

I wonder how cool it would look after you made the initial mosaic pattern & cut it up into 4's if you took bar 1 & made a stainless steel fishing hook damascus, took bar 2 & made a twisted dmascus out of it, bar 3 you did a tear drop dmascus with it, bar 4 make your wraith damascus. Then slice them up into the 45 degree angles & stacked them up & made a blade out of that?
