Wrangler Stuck! Can We Even Get There?

So we got a call for a Jeep Wrangler that was stuck on the rim trail at Sand Hollow sand dunes.
The dunes were steep and sharp that day, and we had some trouble traversing them.
We finally made it through and got on the right trail to the wrangler.
Once located, it was a simple job to get them back on the trail and on their way.

Russ G the tire tread really does not matter much. Air down to 6-8 psi for sand. You want to float on the sand. Once you start spinning your tires stop. All you will do is dig yourself onto your frame. Google For other tips for driving in sand. Google pismo beach. You’ll see Motorhomes pulling trailers on beach sand. Not all on the hard pack either. Also plenty of Motorhomes and big 4x4 trucks stuck in the sand cause they didn’t air down.

I loved the "back seat" sounds while going over the big dunes. I drive a sand rail, it sits low and you feel very stable. I rode in a buddy's jeep once, it scared me! Way different.
