I'm a light clothes man. That looks very hot to wear, especially in late May. I know it's cool where you live, but it's not three-layer cold, especially working in the sun. Maybe I'm just weird, but that seems like a lot. I do like the threads, however, but I like to be cool.

In the NW you can wear stuff like that. In the lower S and SE you can wear that maybe 2 wks to 1 month IF you get ice or shaved ice(we usually say snow, but it isn't). The rest of the year, you are having to decide what you HAVE to put on. Humidity and heat are nuts. You pray for wind

Used to live in Seattle. I bought my first Filson jacket direct from the Filson store, in person. I climbed and cut trees for a living. That jacket would literally stand on its own on the floor. Ridiculous stiff. Good protection though

I never take it off. It’s a work jacket. You’ll notice the left sleeve is covered in black oil-based paint.
