As I am just a guy from Germany, where firearms are treated like demons, I was wondering how carrying a firearm works if you were to cross over into Canada? Would you have to leave it behind somewhere or are you allowed to take it over the border and back? My take on the watch: Put all layers on that you would wear riding, gloves and all, make it all as tight as you would wear it and see which watch feels better on the wrist. They are both tough watches, so ultimately it comes down to your comfort level with them.

Here in Canada if we want a coffee with two milk or cream and two sugar we say medium or what ever size coffee we want small medium or large and so on and then will say double double. Starbucks people know that. No question they know that . Yet about two years ago I went in a starbucks with a friend and she said here you have say such and such words that are different then small med. large coffee .Some silly non English words. I said to here watch me I will not use such silly words in order to over pay for a coffee. So I said the girl at the cash I would like a small coffee double double please. She then said do you want a Granday or some other silly words they have for the over priced coffee. I said nope and just repeated what I had just ordered. In the end she took the order and I got the coffee but wow. No way I will act like a trained seal in order to buy over priced coffee from a place that is ultra liberal and has refused to allow police officer service. Later the corp. said Sorry sort of to the police dept. But it happened again. I have also read that the refused service to a woman who was wearing a MAGA . hat. and told her she had to leave as the hat was upsetting people and making them feel unsafe. So no to starbucks. I really hope that company goes broke soon.

I'm not familiar with the route, but if you already carry at home, of course your going to carry on a 5 day trip. There's no telling what kind of trouble you might encounter. Likely there will be none, but I'm behind the decision 110%!

Your Glock will be a problem for you to take into Canada unless you applied to the Canadian government to take it in. Regardless, they do not allow civilians to own or use a handgun with a barrel less than 4.2" in length. I've hunted in Canada a few times, and taking a rifle in is relatively easy. Simply fill out the CA form 909 in triplicate and get the RCMP to inspect your firearm at the border. Incidentally, you might want to make sure you get the US Customs forms to document your property so that you can prove you owned it before you went into Canada. Back to handguns - I wanted to hunt bison with an S&W 500, but found I needed to get the Canadian government permission to take a handgun into Canada. At the time (2014) that process took about 90 days. So, I hope you have made plans to leave your Glock in the US before you cross over into Canada.
