I grew up listening to the Q-Zoo on Q105 with Scott Shannon and Cleveland Wheeler. Friday! Friday! Friday!

Wow Cleveland came to Houston in 1991 to take over The Q-Morning Zoo after Gannet outed John Lander earlier that year. It lasted less than a month before the station went Country. There was a feeling in my gut that the new Zoo crew would never fly, all Houston knew was John Lander in the morning at KKBQ since day 1. It wouldn't be the same. The inevitable change was in the air

Reason why it never last because you can't copy a original format from the best it was .....When they had the QZOO it was family and once family breaks apart its all over .... Q105 was a top market station till power pig came along and put a ax threw its back ....Grew up watching the start of MTV and moved to the Tampa bay area back in 84 watched WTMV-32 when it was its own mtv of its days

I think smartphones would have qualified as "magic we haven't discovered yet" from a 1989 perspective. (Mentioned at the start of this clip.)
