Love the sound of those cars. I remember 1 time when it was rally (not WRC, but local Polish rally) near my town and they were having bases half kilometer from my home, they were driving near my house to the destination. Amazing cars and especially sounds. Regular cars don't sound like that.

Another failed Toyota attempt to win a WRC round in 2022, the following rounding up were: Sardinia (Italy), Finland (as the video says it all), Belgium, Greece and as well as Japan. That explains because not only Toyota is known mostly for bland designs but relialble cars, therefore given how Hyundai improved its i20 N Rally1 circa 2022 much was because the Yaris GR had only made few improvements in the latter because: 1. The Yaris GR Rally1's mechanicals, although it happens the same way as in the i20 N and Puma, were not only the same ones as the previous Yaris GR WRC but also they were modified with hybrid technology as Rally1 means succeeding WRC (World Rally Car) since the latter used internal combustion engines (ICEs). 2. The model that was based on the Rally1 Yaris' sillhouette was nothing but having its platform to be shared with the previous Yaris that was only sold in Europe, Oceania and Japan (as Toyota Vitz), which was debuted in 2011 while the current Yaris made its debut in 2019 and instead acts like its predecessor - the previous generation Yaris had a diesel motor in addition. (The previous Yaris that was only sold in the European, Aussie/Kiwi and Japanese markets was also distinguished from the Toyota Yaris that was built exclusively to Southeast Asia, Latin America, South Asia and the Middle East but with the platform being different to the said Yaris marketed in Europe and others.) 3. If Toyota were instead forever absent in the World Rally Championship (WRC) after winning the 1994 season while if they (Toyota) were refused to replace the Celica they won the 1993 and '94 manufacturers' titles (WRC) with the Celica that led to Toyota's exclusion in the WRC until late 1996, therefore when Carlos Sainz lost the chance of winning the 1991 drivers' title to Juha Kankkunen (Lancia) means Toyota may not only give up its WRC activities - given how Sainz tried to succeed in Finland and later in Australia that season hence the latter had seen Sainz rolling his Celica until retirement - therefore at that time when other manufacturers were already showcasing their new toys like the Subaru Legacy RS, Ford Sierra Sapphire RS Cosworth and to a lesser extent Nissan Sunny/Pulsar GTI-R - the Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 in WRC was only debuted in late 1988 months after the Celica - meant that the Celica was instead criticised for how it behaved in the competition. 4. Although the Lancia Delta proved of how unreliable the car was before the production models were ended in 1999, just seven years after it pulled out of WRC, therefore the Delta's size and how it was built definitely made the Celica no match to the former. The Nissan Sunny GTI-R was even though a small car as the Delta and not the rest, its stint in the WRC between 1991 to 1992 only had the car to be easily lost to the Delta and - occasionally - Celica because the Sunny/Pulsar GTI-R was only equipped with Dunlop tyres compared to the Michelins and Pirellis that were used in the Delta and Celica. (Subaru used Michelin tyres in the Legacy for example.) 5. If Toyota were pulled from WRC while Nissan were kept running in the latter in 1991, then Carlos Sainz and Armin Schwarz - as well as Mikael Ericsson, Marcus Gronholm and Markku Alen - would have joined Nissan and have the team to be improved like when Kankunnen and Didier Auriol joined Toyota for 1993, which meant the tyres were instead switched to Michelins and the oil sponsor was replaced from Repsol to Castrol. (Repsol was only when Sainz joined in teams since its a Spanish company and Sainz himself hails from Spain.) 6. The Sunny/Pulsar was mainly a pocket rocket/hot hatch like the Delta since the former used the same engine found in the Silvia/200SX, SR20DET, but the role of Nissan relying on using Dunlops that period meant the team (Nissan Motorsports Europe) based in UK (before Brexit) did not have an opportunity to hire an already-big rally star like Sainz were, instead Nissan hired Tommi Makinen, Stig Blomqvist and others but neither the team nor car succeed since Nissan's last win in WRC was in 1988 with the V6 Silvia in Cote d'Ivoire rally. And 7, in conclusion, perhaps if Renault were to sell out Nissan to Toyota, then maybe why don't have Toyota inherit Nissan's platforms that Renault, Dacia and to a lesser extent Mitsubishi also utilises them? As given Toyota and Nissan are already having each other equally big profits therefore its not that difficult for Toyota to trade its own technology with that of Nissan if only as I said already that if only Renault were to hand over its control of Nissan/Mitsubishi to Toyota. (Subaru and Suzuki are also under Toyota already but currently Toyota is the only Japanese carmaker to compete in the WRC...)
