Hi Sarah, I just finished watching this video and I LOVE it. I'm going to print the pattern and get everything together that I need to stitch it. Even though I'm a beginner at embroidery, I think I can do this. I've done French knots, back stitch and tried others. I have watched many of your videos showing individual stitches. If you can do French knots Paula then you will have no problem with the other stitches! You can make beautiful embroidery without using complicated stitches which is the magic of it; I hope you enjoy stitching it! Merry Christmas to you and yours across the pond..x

Done! Had some trouble transferring the design, as I did not have copying paper or an aqua trick marker, also the cloth was so thick I could not see through. Waterproof marker finally worked. To anyone considering doing this, you will be able to complete it. Just takes a little patience and maybe some of Sarah's beginner's videos explaining the stitches one by one. :)

Hi Sarath, I'm stitching the design at the moment and enjoy it thoroughly. Thank you so much for the tutorial. Often, I want to stitch something too difficult and then I'm intimidated and don't even start. Therefore I have now decided to start small and easy. Your project just fits the bill. It will become a gift for my mother. Next, I will try out the Christmas design. Sarah, I am a beginner . 1 month ago I decided to try embroidery. I saw one of your videos. I said to myself “ WOW ! I can do this , so I watched Lots of your videos from needles, supplies and patterns , you are a great teacher and I thank for that. I would like to qskyou a question about this pattern, when you say “frame the fabric into your embroidery hoop:place a cotton fabric behind your embroidery fabric to give you a more stable ground to work on” would I putting my embroidery needle through two layer of material ??? I clearly need to invest on your system that holds the frames 🤔 because I find it difficult to do French knots without something…well I spent $ on 😵‍💫 but your clamp system looks like it is the best out there☝🏽! That project is on one of our Bio washed cottons Mia! Natural fabric like cotton, linen or a blend of the two are really nice to embroider on

What size of silk ribbon do you recommend for small projects like book covers or tags? I am a beginner. Where is the cheapest place to purchase the ribbon? Can you use grosgrain or satin ribbon instead?

2mm and 4mm ribbon is good for most projects. I would stick to silk ribbon as it's nice and soft and fine to use. Satin ribbon is very stiff for ribbon work and I think you will just get frustrated with it but try it out and decide for yourself! It's a water proof drawing pen Alejandra. Any fine black pen will do but make sure it is waterproof!

No it's a waterproof black drawing pen Karen. Any fine pen will do but make sure it is waterproof! If you use a pencil there is a chance the graphite will come off on the threads

@@SarahHomfrayEmbroidery I just checked out your shop...and it is amazing. there are so many things there that i don't even know what they would be for like beeswax, transfer pens etc. I also could not find what the shipping is like for customers internationally... I am in canada.
