you do have a good eye. I have never seen those panels before, as you said usually you are cutting the old rear panel and then inserting the cougar lightbuckets. I assume there are lens covers that work with these plus you have to drill the bulb holes. I look forward to seeing how this finishes up.

I’m redoing a 55 Ford Fairlane. You have to make the after market parts fit glass or metal panels. That’s the nature of the best. Enjoy your videos. People can learn from your videos.

I have bought the same kit and has same issues . A friend bought a more expensive kit that fit a bit better but still had to work it . I’m happy with the elpaso kit the price was right I worked it to get the fit I liked .. I bought the lenses for the tail lights they don’t fit either I guess you have the same issue it’s really not that hard to fix tho

Have you ever tried one of the metal tail light panels with the Shelby style buckets in them? Wonder if the Shelby quarter extensions would fit right.

Maybe I'm wrong but I have to ask - Will the trunk lid be uneven after cutting (if you look it from the back seat through the back window) ? One side will be lover and other will be higher from the surface of trunk ?

No. The spoiler part of the decklid is what is actually twisted on these decklids. Doing what I did fixes the issue. It's now straight front to back side to side.
