The thing that's missing from so many of these 'how to fit base unit' videos is between 6.30 and 6.32. How to man handle the base units from laying down to standing up and into position. I have some base units (from another company) that need fitting and they weigh an absolute ton! It's always tricky moving base units around because once legs are fitted you cannot drag them around. Video's like this make it look very easy but i have 3 very heavy 1000mm base units to fit into a 3040 gap! First 2 will be hard enough but the 3rd!

Yes. They're only chipboard, but they're so heavy! My husband is 71 and he's fitting it on his own. Stubborn old bugger 🤣

Your suposed to rotate your spirit level as you go from wall to wall. Would be nice if all kitchens had perfect walls like this he should be saying look at the state of this wall how am I I suposed to do a good job with that.

Maybe that is why they invented upstands. Hide the gaps ! 😅

It would be a lot.kore useful if you didn't use a white on white example. I have green doors and the filler pieces are dark grey.. I can't tell what is what in this video, with it being all white..

Most kitchen spaces are the size of a dog kennel with uneven floors and pot holes with walls that were built with a rubber spirit level ….. I wish they were this perfect to start with.

And if the floor is not level?

How are the units held to the wall? Do they come ready made? And if so are they more expensive than flat pack

This is the second video I've watched where everything is perfectly straight, I've just fitted a kitchen for my Daughter it's took 2 weeks just putting the tall wall units up Due to the plasterer dot dabbing the board 2 inches off the walls and not using a level. Will still be trying to make this look good in 3 months time, not fitting a kitchen in a 1hr video 😢😢

Now try a tall corner cabinet.

My 'corner posts' consist of two UN-EDGED pieces of melamine that are too short to fit on the face of the unit; they fit in between the top rail and base. Nothing else in the cabinet pack at all - despite the dickhead on the other end of the phone to my customer insisting there is. There should be two fillets of the same colour as the doors. Seven years since I last fitted a Wren kitchen. Back then, the worktops were actually hollow - dead easy to lift, but I wondered how long they would last - drop something heavy on them and I'm sure they'd break. Also awkward to mitre at the corners. By the looks of these videos, they are for DIYers. God knows how they get on...

Awful video, good that the guy is in black otherwise it would be like watching a blank screen

Next time, make the floor white and put the guy in white overalls 🙄
