@novicracker1980 Жыл бұрын
Every KZbinr has run into an issue were they have needed a vehicle to help them get their projects in or out of crazy places or just into their shop. I think you should build that vehicle. This wont be questionable. But it will be custom and you will need sponsors. So...... I bet you can do it. I do have a few suggestions to help you out with this build and they will make sense as well as do things that are crazy and fun..... Air Ride to help lower all 4 wheels, 4 wheel drive, side mounted wenches both sides as well as front and back. And it should have outriggers in order to help give some weight and stability on or off the road. Or you could mount weighted wenches to the side of your trailer. By weighted I mean use 1 inch steel for all the mounting and casing to give it all the weight it needs.

When I built my engine storage cart, I made it in two pieces: a frame that holds an engine, and a separate wheeled cart. I figured a wheeled cart strong enough to roll an engine around on would have other uses, and in fact I ended up using the cart portion to wheel a shell onto a trailer much like as done this video.

As someone who used to own an 88 Accord (which had a larger and more powerful engine than an 85) I cannot imagine how slow an 85 Accord Limo full of people must be.
@flightpath22 Жыл бұрын
I love the old Accord limo conversions. I’m sure they were sketch as hell and not remotely powerful enough. Here in the D/FW area there was at least one or two Accord limo conversions using the third generation Accord LX sedan. In particular, I remember somewhat frequently seeing an ‘87 or ‘88 gold Accord LX limo around North Carrollton where I grew up. It made a very unique impression on me due to the fact that my mother had a 1986 Honda Accord LXi sedan, with a 5-speed thank you very much. And I loved that car. Looked for all the world like a 4-door Prelude and was quite spry for its time. Great interior in those third gens too.

@fredericrike5974 Жыл бұрын
Awesome! I have wondered if Honda Rousey would be back! Although, I suspect more than just the rear trunk are may need total replacement- I would think the easiest way to fix the leading edge of the roof would be to use the front half of your donor. Your middle side panel is a shortened section of a front door panel, I'm thinking. And with Honda's blessing, using a couple of gallons of bondo will be "as delivered". And I'd put an LS in it and make it rear drive- or maybe go the exotic route and use a 4.3 LS 3 with the transverse transaxle as GM used it! It's questionable enoug to suit your garage! ON the "Lesser Jared " thing; don't go overboard, you were never built for a Speedo anyway and we love all of you! FR PS; If you think you do "questionable", check out Fanatik's build of a Triumph GT 6, with an LS and full new suspension! By the way, he started out, with his dad doing rust repairs on a good looking GT 6 several years ago- and it morphed. fr

Been patiently awaiting the return of the Honda Rousey, being I've had TDI engined cars for nearing 2 decades. Boy, this will be a big project, given the cross-marque engine swap, the electrical schenanigans to make it work, the many, many rust repairs, the custom fab/restoration work. It's both ambitious, and epic! And I, for one, won't mind if this one's a long term chug through as the other cars are also completed.

This was the project that got me subscribed to the channel. (Well, the previous channel.) One of my hobbies is rebuilding Diesel cars. Never did find the drive shaft.) Once I do a timing belt replacement on one of my Sportwagens, I want to replace the bad TSI in my VW CC with the CJAA from my Jetta that has too much frame damage.
