Hmmm interesting Chris, I tried to do this exact mod (flip front leaf hangers) on my Challenger E-body several years ago but the factory must of decided too many line workers were sending out lowered Chargers so they changed the design so that the bolt holes are narrower at the top I think and wide at the bottom, so therefore you couldn’t flip it upside down dammit! Also maybe so that line workers didn’t accidentally put one in upside down one side and the other up if the bolt holes were symmetrical…got around it by getting some custom made hanger brackets with three hole settings. The lowest ride height setting might of torn the drive shaft weight off on the tunnel first drive, you wouldn’t think there is such a thing as too low but there is! Keep the awesome work, keeps me entertained over here in Australia, cheers. PS, I might have written this BEFORE you got to the bit where you mentioned the different size bolt pattern!

Don't waste your time with a Dana. Highest gear with a Dana is 3.55. 8and three q. Can handle what ever you can throw at it. Where your screwing up is trying a 2 whatever or 3 whatever with a clutch. Before you take out the mighty 8 put a 4:56 in it with the Auto. That will be your best time. I put a tremec six speed in my pro stock 67 GTX with 850 hp.. pure love.. I'm just playing around on the street with it now. It'll run 200 mph with the 4:56. Check out some web sites with the gear calculators on them. My hyd clutch only has about a two inch stroke. Clutch is nice and easy. Make sure you weld a pedal stop under the clutch or you can damage your pressure plate from over extending it. Rock On Bruder man.

Sliders work well but not really roadcar stuff. And you will need a Panhard or Watts or the back will go everywhere. Some racing garden sheds have been there and were just dangerous until lateral location was resolved. That will also be your roll centre then

How do you handle vapor lock/ percolation? Do run electric fuel pumps or mechanical? I ask since I have been having some issues with a mechanical pump.
@Ridendrty2 жыл бұрын
Oh man i know your pain, i run a mechanical fuel pump and i have a cast iron manifold with a Thermoquad. One thing that helped a ton was to get a fuel filter with an extra nipple and run the return fuel back to the tank. You can usually get a fuel sending unit with a return line so easy to circulate. That dropped my fuel temp at the carb by almost 20 degrees. Cheap and effective way to go!

You're handing out bad advice on oil. Mixing 0w with 50w doesn't give you something in between, it gives you two strata of the different oils in the oil pan. The denser oil, being the one on the bottom, will be the one sucked up by the oil pickup. Not a wise move considering both oils are probably wrong for the engine. Different oil weights don't mix just like oil and water don't mix.
@user-pj3le8fr4m2 жыл бұрын
