It's the first WK back with cheering fans and it's a tribute to Inoki. The Japanese face is going to be the foreign heel. It's just how NJPW is. Any other time, it would be a toss-up, but it makes sense for a babyface win.

Let's be honest as good as a wrestler Jay is and as good as a heel he is let's be honest his title reign in 2022 was kinda bad. Barely defended that title and the US title became more relevant and prestigious than the world title. Jay brought value to the title but that's how I see it. I really want Jay to retain but it's unlikely to happen. This will be a good match though

Dude, why on God's green earth would you want to see the Switch Blade vs MJF??? That match doesn't make any sense at All! Two Heals? Wrestling for what? feuding for what? There's no money in that match at all. Wrestle each other just to wrestle? There's way to much politics for that match to happen even if both of them are not champions.

@Caleb Dodoo I guess, I mean I watch both promotions, NJPW is my favorite hands down, but that definitely isn't a match I would want to see. Like I said, there's waaayyyyy too much politics involved to determine who will be booked to win. AEW and NJPW don't do bragging rights. That's a WWE thing. But if that's something you will enjoy seeing, then who am I to tell you otherwise.

People who think they're the "true" wrestling fans because they hate WWE more than they love anything they claim to love in wrestling. Sasuke here spits in the face of Jay White's entire point about the expansion of Bullet Club, whether that's a real thing or just Jay's way of showing love to the boys, *because he hates WWE more than he likes Jay White or Bullet Club.* It's the same as the people trying to clown Jonah/Bronson Reed because he returned to WWE and debuted on Raw in a bodyguard role for The Miz. NJPW invalidated his victory over Okada in the G1 by having his return match be for nothing, hence Switchblade verbally jumping on Okada the Coward every chance he gets, then HHH called him to come back to WWE on a main roster deal with no packaging, and from a character standpoint Miz offered him a payday to help him take care of the psychopath he stopped paying in the first place. If NJPW's gonna deny Jonah the stakes he deserves and he's got a bag waiting for him in WWE courtesy of a flatfooted booker and an idiotic wannabe celebrity, the most logical thing he could do is go get that bag. But because these people hate WWE more than they like Jonah, they call HIM the idiot when he's the one making out like a bandit.

The future of NJPW doesn't look bright. After watching for 26 years the best strategy has always been have the title on a Japanese hero and a non Japanese heel chasing. To be real and honest there's no Japanese Hero's on the horizon and Jay as champion hasn't been successful on the box office. Kenny as champion opened the door to the North American market. Jay White has done nothing. Business is DOWN.

@@sionrouge1697 (1) TNA was the solid #2 in the United States 95% of the time Styles was there, and it was actually him who turned Dixie down because she asked him to take a massive pay cut. Even in his sendoff they had to have 15 people gang up on him and Sting to keep him from beating Nick Aldis for the TNA World Title. (2) I think it's rather obviously NJPW didn't consider AJ a reject when they placed him straight in the spot where Prince Devitt would've won the IWGP Heavyweight Championship on the one-year anniversary of Bullet Club with zero delay even though it was his first match with them. (3) Styles was the guy who had the Bucks and the rest of Bullet Club traveling ROH and the American indies as badass tweeners well before The Elite took over, and he did it WITHOUT dividing the group into his friends vs. the backup. (4) Anderson and Gallows have consistently called AJ Styles the best wrestler in the world in shoot interviews from 2014 to this day.
