I agree. However, the reason neither of them went to prison for that attack (which I believe was attempted murder) is because Ken was wrong for breaking in the door. Now maybe that's not how it went, maybe Saggs opened the door, but Ken himself said he busted it down. So right there, they have the right to defend themselves. @@romper4444 @deescott was correct. Ken Shamrock is an OG MMA LEGEND. He fought in the essentially no-holds-barred era and was a winner. Lesnar has an average MMA record whereas Shamrock is phenomenal. Ken also fought against the real and original beast, Dan Severns. Both would obliterate almost any wrestler in any era, as they are real shooters. Severns was primarily a wrestler, while Shamrock mastered several techniques. The fact that a 300 pounder had to sneak a guy who was 215-225 should tell you how dangerous he was. Anyway, New Jack kicked Knobbs butt for being inappropriate too. Evidently, he shouldn't drink because he has memory issues and personality changes. He and Jack were cool before the incident. Jack never forgave him according to recent shoot interviews.

Seems Shamrock is the only one who knows the story up to being hit with the phone. What kind of coward hits you from behind with one of those old giant hotel phones? This was years ago, when stuff wasn't made of thin, cheap plastic. Even the plastic was heavy duty and this stuff always had metal reinforcement on it. Frankly, I believe Shamrock's story more than anyone else. I can tell he's adding some stuff in to justify him going to the hotel, but for the most part, he seems legit in what he says. That Nobbs guy, you can just see liar all over his face. Shamrock was the most dangerous man in the UFC in his prime. I just wish he would have retired and not come back. He was done, but his pride sent him into the ring with Ortiz, who was obviously in his prime at the time. Shamrock didn't stand a chance and it was a bad way to end a career. Had he been 10 years younger, then it would have been a match. Ortiz knew he was done and should have never agreed to fight him.

Shamrock also cut to 205 to fight Tito, which was a massive weight cut for him and probably drained him of a ton of his strength. Tito himself was even hesitant at the prospect of fighting Ken back in 1999 when all the shit between him and the Lion's Den first came to a head, specifically citing the fact that Ken was a good deal bigger than him. Several years worth of accumulated injuries from his time in the WWF certainly didn't help matters either. Ideally, Ken would've retired after his epic clash with Don Frye in Pride, as that would've been the ideal way to cap off a legendary career.

The assumption is that he was knocked silly after the shot from the phone. It's totally possible that after the shot he was still aware enough to notice the fat fuck jumping off the bed to jump him. Dude had facial damage and broken ribs, that sounds like work of multiple people stomping and kicking him at the same time.

I believe Ken's side also, but I find it funny that everyone is saying he is the only one who seems to be telling the truth. All that sticks out to me is how Shamrock said he saw knobbs passed out on the bed and then the last thing he remembered was being out cold after the phone to the back of the head. Then he says after that the "other one" got up and started kicking him too. If the lights went out after contact, he would've never known they both beat him.

In the interview before Shamrock's, it was said that he HEARD them putting boots to Shamrock, which is likely how Shamrock found out he had the boots put to him. He was told.

@@levih7326 Actually, it's possible Shamrock came in, beat the snot out of Knobbs, got clocked over the head, and after Knobbs got beat up, he woke up and him and Skaggs put the boots to Shamrock for a little, and then Knobbs passed out again. Skaggs then proceeded to drag Shamrock out of the room to dump him over the railing. That doesn't seem completely unreasonable given Knobbs was already in a drunken stupor, and probably wasn't very coherent after getting knocked around a bit by Shamrock.

Most likely that's just Ken making it sound like it took 2 guys. Nothing to be ashamed of if you went for one guy and his buddy KOed you from behind w a weapon. I was there earlier the beef did not start at Plum Crazies. It started in the locker room before the match that night. It was over a girl that had been past around by the boys. They were separated in the locker room. I was the referee that night during the match when Vinnie ( Ken Shamrock stretched them both. One right after the other. He rubbed there faces in the mat.
