Technically it's not a 3 hour show, minus the advert breaks ect it's about 2 hours 5 minutes so In a show that is trying to get it's storylines to reach max for a ppv just over 50 minutes of wrestling isn't too bad

That would be too many eggs in one basket to make one story work. You can put the briefcase on someone else and start to put resources towards another guy and get TWO stories on TV

I think if you want that "hypocrite Drew" angle, just have him go on about what a great opportunity it will be for him to have the briefcase, ignoring how he railed against it when it cost him the belt at Mania, and then do the old "CM Punk screws him during the ladder match and someone else picks up the win" shtick. Adding the briefcase into the feud just clutter it up. It's not necessary

@@dannyw5570he doesn’t need the briefcase to show he’s hypocritical…just being in the match shows that. If Punk stops him from winning it fits with Punk saying “I won’t let you have anything”. Then you can put the briefcase on either Jey or Gable because they’re both right there, right at that moment where them winning a title would make sense. Or you could put the title on Carmelo/Andrade as a way to show what’s the plan going forward until next year. The briefcase shouldn’t be used as just a macguffin to make someone look bad, Vince has done that enough. Let the briefcase go back to feeling like it’s a guaranteed title opportunity, and the failed cash ins are devastating…not just background noise in a story.

The MitB winner doesn't need to be a credible Challenger "right now". They have a year. I actually think that Gable having it would be a great choice because it would further this "miracle" thing, and would allow his new stable that will inevitably come to be built up in the process.

What they need to do with the men's MITB: Drew wins. Drew immediately goes to the back to find Damien Priest and beat him down with the briefcase and drag him out to the ring. This should all be done with one, continuous camera shot. Drew cashes in. Hits a claymore. 1....2.... Punk attacks Drew. Drew wins via DQ. Doesn't win the title. This also furthers the storyline with Priest and Balor, with Priest fuming that Judgement Day didn't do anything themselves to stop the cash in, and Balor saying that Priest said he didn't need any help.

I've never been a fan of former World champions winning the briefcase. I feel like the point should be elevating a guy who could be a main eventer into the actual main event. When people like Lesnar, Cena, or Kane win the briefcase, I'm always just like "what's the point?" These types of people could literally just ask for title shots and they would probably get them.

If there is a ppv on sunday then they dont record a episode and instead do a live review of the ppv. They stated this several times in both the edited smackdown reviews and at the end of news episodes.

While I support Punk screwing up Drew's cash-in, I think Punk should screw it up BEFORE the bell rings, that way he still screwed Drew, but Drew still has the MITB Briefcase. Punk and Drew can then feud without the title and it still gives Drew the chance to cash-in later.

I think Punk screwing Drew on the cash-in would get a little bigger 1 night pop than screwing him in the MitB match itself. However, then you'd have gotten 1 super giant pop in an already super popular feud while sacrificing the men's MitB briefcase and any potential it could bring to other stars who need it more. Not to mention what it would do to the aura of the MitB briefcase since then it'd officially be half of all cash-ins of the men's briefcase since 2017 failing to capture a title. It's a great example of why booking towards one awesome moment and one great pop is not a good way to book stories.

That idea for Drew McIntyre to be screwed on his cash-in is a good idea! I was predicting that Drew wins but "throws away" the briefcase because of his previously mentioned dislike of the concept. But he actually does keep it and uses it later on. Thus adds another point to the hypocrite persona. Now I'm torn between the two ideas.

Drew wins mitb, in the Seth/priest match Drew cashes in, but since Drew keeps saying that he’s gonna cash in on the ppv Punk is gonna be there and screw him over allowing priest to get the pin(either in Drew or preferably Seth). It builds the punk/ Drew storyline to have a match soon, and it builds Priests storyline of him saying he doesn’t need help to defend his title, but uses any distractions either way to help retain. So at summerslam Gunther beats him without any help, proving Seth right and makes Priest leave JD and try to become a better singles star

My pre-diddly-iction for who will win Money in the Bank is a tough one. Part of me says Jey, but Bloodline members have had enough titles, so if Roman comes back and has his good guy Bloodline, Jey shouldn't win. Gable winning would be awesome, but an angle with him and Jey would be great. In a dark horse pick, I'm going with Andrade Cien Almas. He could cash in on Cody and it would make sense.
