At 6:03 you really see the contrast in coaching styles, the Brands brothers are standing up yelling and super anxious, then you turn to Sanderson and he looks like he's about to fall asleep!

I would much rather have a coach going to battle with/for me in the corner than one who tries to play the cool guy stoic character

Is it just me, or does Sorensen look noticeably bigger than Retherford?
@dumpaloadddurmom33506 жыл бұрын
ph sch zain retherford is naturally 149 Sorensen prolly had to cut tons of weig
@xenonmaster66682 жыл бұрын
@@dumpaloadddurmom3350 he kinda just got built to the weight tbh because Zain as a true freshmen was a very tiny 141 pounder or a tiny bit of a bigger 141 pounder

Zain didn't even pretend to be interested in taking a shot in OT.

it would be better if we could see the start of the action when sorensen is on bottom each time. Not sure why they thought it was more important to show the coaches then key moments of the match

Looks like dirty wrestling to me to put hands to the face, the thumb goes to the eyes.

wtl2 no. It’s pretty common and why they are rewriting the rule. Eye pokes bad. Hands to face, meh.

I heard Retherford wrestled this match with a 103 degree temperature. Can anyone confirm this? If so, it explains why he was off. I remember watching this live at home and noticing how tired and sloppy he looked.
@lobster13407 жыл бұрын
Because the fact he pinned Sorenson at the NCAA semis proves he was way superior.

No way he was 103 and went that long. I’d say 100.5 max.

They should have hit Retherford for stalling in the last OT.

If Sorenson had wrestled from the start instead of playing Iowa 's patty cake style of wrestling he would have beat Retherford.

That was a really good stalling match 😂😂 never seen college wrestling like that I mean I would understand like 285 but stalling that much at that weight come in now 😂😂😂
@andyputman18004 жыл бұрын
Stalling by Zain in the last sudden death, he should have been hit when there was 9 seconds left. But all the rest of the match, no stalling at all. Both guys at such a high level you can't just take some stupid shot to prove you're not stalling.
