I'm pretty sure being a full time job guy, while sounding silly, is actually a really crucial job and Lombardi is probably the best known at it. No one paid money to see a Brawler match, but they did pay a ton of money to see all the guys he helped build.

The answer to your question regarding Hogan losing 59lbs during his WCW debut was his cold turkey drop of the huge injectable testosterone during the Vince McMahon steroid trials. He had to be able to pass a steroid specific drug test at any time for an extended period of time. Someone that has been on a significant amount of exogenous testosterone for long periods of time, then halts that cold turkey will lose MASSIVE amounts of muscle and all around mass, this was the case in that time period, and it was HUGELY noticeable at that time!

This is why he is one of the most talked about wrestlers ever.
