I was at the Raw show on 22nd of July 2002 when Triple H turned on Shawn. All of us in the crowd fell for the DX reunion and everyone was going crazy. Then, well, the pedigree came and, man, the crowd were none too pleased to put it lightly. My mom, about as big of a Shawn Michaels fan as anyone, was so upset that I think my brother and I had to calm her down.

Yeah you had to feel for Seth. Back then the fans wanted Ambrose, the office wanted Reigns and Seth was the other guy. Kind of like how before she broke out, Becky Lynch was considered a tier or so below her fellow 4 Horsewomen and booked as such but then she ends up bigger than the other 3.

The internet definitely ruined everything wrestling wise. People learned a few backstage terms and now they use words like work rate and say people are or aren't good wrestlers like they have any idea what they're talking about. We used to like or dislike wrestlers, but no one ever said so and so can't wrestle. Some douche on his couch trying to tell me that any pro wrestler can't wrestle is a joke to me.

I think it was overlooked and/or underrated, in large part because it felt like the end of an era. When people feel like something has ended, they lament what they've lost and perhaps harshly judge what comes after. I enjoyed a lot of heel Stone Cold's shtick but with WCW being dead and now the attitude era's main babyface being heel, it was never quite the same again. Kind of like how some long term fans would have felt when wrestling moved from what was, into the NWO/attitude era I guess.

I am about 30 minutes into the video. I just really hope you will include Farooq and Bradshaw in this. For me that was one of the most shocking moments in wrestling history. I thought those two were inseparable. Bradshaw turning heel really helped him but it ended up being basically the end of Farooq's career. It was something I just didn't see coming although maybe I should have. Anyways the Acolytes never should have split up and for me they are one of the best tag teams of all time.
