@@thor1829 The wild thing is that, had he lived, Owen's contract would have finished up in the middle (or at least early part) of the Invasion storyline, I believe. Part of me almost wonders if Owen could have been made into a big name for the Alliance in that situation (maybe with him agreeing to a short-term extension to the end of 2001), maybe even keep Stone Cold on the WWF side of things. Would have been a perfect way for Owen to go out, wanting revenge against both Vince & Austin by "leaving" WWF & trying to kill it himself, alongside the Alliance.

Dude. thank you so much for putting these videos out week after week. I love this nostalgia rewind, going back ever week to watch this. When all this reliving the War stuff is over, I hope this becomes a chronological playlist, so that I can just set this up like a podcast. I know you've been having some issues from YT about the supposed "copyright infringement", but despite that you're doing an awesome job, mate. I could go on a good 30 minutes about the production quality, the cut scenes, and the ongoing meta-humor like Steve Blackman that just makes this a absolute joy to watch. However, I gotta give props even more to whomever is making these remixed music bits! This ending credits clip is just straight fire! If nothing else, I wish you could have a "Revivling the War" Playlist on Spotify, itunes or whatever. I'd certainly support that with pay if it was possible, ANyway, keep doing the awesome work, don't overwork yourself, I can see how keeping to a schedule would be stressful. Take care of yourself, Laters'.

Shamrock was arguably booked the way he should have always been booked with this tournament: Truly wild & unforgiving during matches, befitting his penchant for going into "The Zone". Definitely a great way to portray him winning his first title in WWF. Also, it's the start of Big Boss Man's most iconic run in his career! Looking forward to 1999, when he just goes full-blown unrepentant.
@lexkanyima2195 Жыл бұрын
Then why he turn heel like a week prior
@Obscusion2 Жыл бұрын
@@lexkanyima2195 Because that kind of portrayal would work either as a face or a heel. As a face he'd come off kind of like Goldberg to an extent (i.e. intensity personified), but as a heel he can come off as unhinged & uncontrollable.

Billy Gunn was in the arena at the last show. There was a group of people around a tv, Stone Cold was watching himself driving the Zamboni to the ring, and Billy Gunn was laughing at it while Stone Cold looked like he was studying it. So it was weird to me to find out he wasn't wrestling that night. He was there, he seemed fine. Triple H wasn't. Chyna was pushing him around in a wheelchair, and when he was on his own he was on crutches then back to the wheelchair. They had a screen set up to take pictures of his head for his Halloween mask. He wasn't in a good mood. I don't blame him.
