Same thing happened with Roman, but people just forgot so fast. All of his defenses were predictable. By the end of 2022 he didnt even needed the belt because it wasnt the most important thing of his story. And if it wasnt for Heyman, that stable wouldve never worked in any capacity.

@life0093 Oh c'mon now. I certainly like Roman now that he has no belt, but it was CLEARLY Heyman the one who elevated all of Roman's feuds BEFORE the matches. All of them were more over before the matches rather than after. And it was clear that whoever became champion after Roman was gonna be less effective in that matter, because Roman already beated every current and potential main eventer. So no one would believe now, that any of them could rebuild themselves to a certain point of credibility, against the guy who beated Roman, its just simple logic... PD: Just imagine heyman managing a heel Cody now as champion, it wouldve been 10x times better than Roman just in terms of promos, and 20x times better with in-ring performances.

@@k0f974 Jey Uso’s rise has a lot more to do with Roman than Paul Heyman. The only one Heyman successfully managed was Lesnar. Punk was a flop, Ryback was a flop, and so was Curtis Axel. Heyman is good, but he ain’t the miracle worker that you say he is. Roman had a lot of good matches, and he had a good feud with everyone. He elevated Jey, Sami, his Bloodline even made tag team wrestling relevant again. Once the tag division didn’t revolve around fighting the Usos and the Bloodline, the division cratered. Cody’s story was interesting because we knew one day he would be coming for Roman’s belt. Once he got it, and feuded with wrestlers not named Roman, his reign was boring. A new dimension was added to the Sami and Kevin Owens rivalry due to Roman Reigns, a new layer was added to the Usos v. New Day rivalry because of the USO’s affiliation with Roman. Roman was the straw that stirred the drink. Heyman helped fill in the Blanks while Roman was away. I’ll give him that. But even the episodes when Roman wasn’t on the show, the show would revolve around how Roman would react to whatever happened that night when he returned. If you knew Cody or anyone being champion is a downgrade from Roman, then you don’t put the belt on him. When Rock was ready for the main event in 1998, he was over and the company knew he would be able to be just as entertaining as Austin was. You don’t put the belt on a guy who is less than. Maybe Kevin wanted to be involved in the main event scene as a condition to renew his contract, but Kevin for me just feels like Sami. Sadly i cant see them with the most important titles, because there are currently bigger and better stars all around. The only thing i can imagine for them is to be transitional champions, and i prefer other people to do that kind of job...

🤣there’s a section of the fans that haven’t thought Cody has been working since he came back to WWE let’s be honest they’ve criticized everything he’s done and they’ve been waiting for the fans to turn on him from the moment he came back so the credibility of the Internet wrestling community when it comes to Cody Rhodes or Becky lynch or even these days Rhea Ripley it’s just as good as Dave Meltzer’s credibility in other words it’s in the toilet🤣🤷🏾‍♀️ I’ve learned what we see on the Internet and real life or two different things on the Internet people complain about WWE and the AEW fan base is ridiculously passionate but they’re not ridiculously passionate when it comes to the ratings anymore or ticket sales the Internet wrestling community says that they canceled a lot of wrestlers who are still being booked and asked for their autograph and signatures at all different kinds of conventions. I just don’t believe the hype until the numbers support it, when his merchandise stops selling at ridiculous numbers where he’s out selling American football stars, when the ticket sales for the events that he’s headlining start to go down, when there’s actual proof Cody is no longer working then I’ll consider the Internet wrestling communities opinion.

In my opinion, Cody used the chair with him hitting the Cross Rhodes on KO, because when KO and Cody were face to face when Cody was in the ring and KO was standing on the announce table, Cody said he was "going to do whatever it takes" to beat KO, and he decides to get a little payback for what KO did to Orton. It was a measure of revenge, so I don't believe Cody using the chair with the Cross Rhodes on KO means Cody is going heel, at least not yet.

The problem is Cody's Peck injury and Story got more over than he ever did. A lot of wrestler's now a days are being carried by long term storytelling and big moments. Most of these wrestler's are pawns for HHH'S stories/moments. Notice how he doesn't push wrestler's that get over organically until fans pester him forever.
