Ah time for part 2. The best WWE PPVs from the second half of the 2000s, the best WWE PPVs from 2005 to 2009. As a 90s kid, the 2000s were my childhood, and wrestling was obviously a huge part of my childhood. From 2000 to 2009 we got some of the best WWE events of all time. I am so happy that this was the decade i grew up in. So many amazing Royal Rumbles, WrestleMania's, SummerSlams. The second half of the 2000s, saw the rises of John Cena, Batista, Randy Orton and Edge. Saw HBK and Undertaker get better with age. So many amazing moments and PPVs. Lets get nostalgic and look back at the best WWE PPVs from 2005 to 2009

Same here. I remember watching SmackDown every week, watching all the PPVs up to Armageddon, watching Jeff constantly have the odds stacked against him, it was just an amazing moment when he won. Quite possibly the best underdog world championship win build in WWE history.

2005-2008......where the YEARS, they bring me back to watch wrestling, I wasn't watching wrestling since Taker beat Hogan for the WWF tittle.....yeah that long, for me Wrestling was a childish thing and I missed the entire Monday Night wars, the rise of WCW and the birth the the Attitude Era, even I knew that Goldberg, Stone Cold and the Rock were killing it, I didnt watch any of it...................until 1 day, I stumble into a PPV, I dont remember the name, I just watch EDDIE GUERRERO vs REY MYSTERIO fighting for a kid.........I was ike, WTF? but I watch it, and I never saw a Rey Mysterio or Eddie Guerrero match ever in my life, and for 10 or 15 minutes, my jaw drop to the floor......I tune that week Smackdown and I watch Batista destroy some guy with a Batista Bomb......and UNDERTAKER was still in SD and he was the most badass man I have ever saw, putting down fools, then Eddie pass, and I couldnt stop watching and You Tube was a thing back then, that allow me to catch up, I start playing matches of the Attitude Era, the streak, Brock Lesnar, Orton and the rest was history. I watch every Wrestlemania , every Rumble (2007 man, my favorite RR of all time), every Cena vs Edge, oh man this period of time, sooo good, and I was a University freshman student, and still love every bit of this time, ruthless agression era is my favorite era of WWE.

2005 was the year I started watching I mean I kinda watched a little bit in August but I really started watching fully when Eddie Guerrero passed away and my first ppv was Armageddon 2005 because before hand I played the smackdown games and my favourite matches to play was the hell in a cell match and when I heard undertaker and randy orton we’re gonna fight inside hell in a cell I asked my mom to order it and she did and the ppv was ok but the hell in a cell match was pretty damn good then i saw every ppv (except ecw one night stand) onward in 2006 and a lot of them were and some of them were not (summerslam,cyber Sunday,survivor series and December to dismember). But 2007 is where things were turned upside down I mean this whole heartedly the only ppv’s I liked were New Years Revolution,royal rumble, wrestlemania, backlash and survivor series I’m sorry but 2007 was my least favourite wwe year I mean the year started off on shaky ground we had John cena vs Kevin Federline, triple h tearing his quad and 2 people dressed as Donald trump and Rosie O’Donnell WHAT THE FUCK?!?! 🤦‍♂️ then it just kept going downhill stars like edge,undertaker,Bobby Lashley,Shawn Michaels got injured hornswoggle was Vince McMahon’s illegitimate son great khali was the world heavyweight champion and my interest was hanging on by a real short thread the only thing keeping me interested was John cena as wwe champion then he got injured and I just threw my hands in the air and just quit watching from October to January around the royal rumble

Summerslam ‘09 was an amazing PPV. Minus Cena and Orton’s overbooked fuckery, Mysterio and Ziggler’s IC title opener was a banger, DX vs Legacy was a straight up excellent tag team match and Punk and Hardy tore the f*cking house down in Hardy’s last PPV match for 8 years, not to mention Taker returned for the first time since mania to close the show.
