Shane McMahon did not botch a hell's gate (gogoplata). He executed an accurate triangle hold. In the hell's gate undertaker chokes his opponent by pushing his shin into his throat. In a triangle choke, one wraps the legs around the opponent's head and cuts off blood flow to the head. In jiujitsu they are completely different moves. Sorry bro.

Austin and Michaels both have the Texas connection. Foley was a weird one though. Personally, I do think Lesnar should have gone over, but they really should have hyped up Ambrose's resiliency. I'm not saying make it completely one-sided, but Lesnar should have done some serious damage to him, only for Ambrose to keep getting up. In my opinion, it's the best way to make both men look strong, since Lesnar's ferocity and Ambrose's resiliency are the main traits each man advertises.

I've seen numerous people who were in the building claim the screen at Wrestlemania 32 displayed a suplex counter, flashed "wooo" when Charlotte did a chop, and displayed things like "Hey! We want some New Day!" during the matches. I have even seen pictures of the big screen at AT&T Stadium showing the supposed "suplex counter". On the other hand I have one guy who was in the building and says "they didn't have any of that." Either they're all wrong or you are. I suppose it's possible that a large group of people got together to spontaneously create a deception wherein they'd claim the video screens in the stadium were showing things they actually weren't for some unfathomable reason. BUT I also think it's much more likely that there were things on the screen and you simply didn't see them. In this case I taking the testimony of the more numerous witnesses over yours.

Everyone thought that it was down to Sami Zayn or KO, but this made it feel like it really is a 7 man ladder match, where everyone's got a chance.

I was there live, at probably the only Wrestlemania I'll ever go to, and I loved it. Standards of Wrestling in most of the matches were excellent. Booking was pretty iffy, especially for ramifications going forward but the show itself as a spectacle was awesome.

I was there, and the attendance looked pretty accurate. I know that WWE has been known to exaggerate their figures (that's no secret), but I really do think they topped 100,000 that night. Also, I ended up in the parking lot for over an hour after the show as well. I don't think I made it back until 2 am after standing for over 5 hours.

I think WWE has a team that actually reads predictions and fantasy bookings online at important wrestlings website and they try to come up with other scenarios to surprise not just the fans, but the smarks, too. Sometimes this might result in things happening not-so organically.

Sad thing, the biggest WrestleMania of them all couldnt beat NXT:Dallas ... i mean the NXT booking decisions felt good, and they were on point. The actual NXt wrestling (yes im breaking kayfabe and say WRESTLING) were awesome!. Whilst as Zane said, the WM wrestling where somewhere in the middle. It had some cool spots, but a WrestleMania doesnt life off spots. And the booking was horrible. So yea NXT, and therefore Trips and his team did it better. And why? Well i honestly blame WWE's PG restrictions ... i know i know old same stuff, but you saw that even a edgy TV-14 program can work out.

I think it depends on what match you were looking forward too the most. For me personally I was super excited for the women's triple threat which did not disappoint and the fact we finally got the women's championship was huge for me I loved that so, I would give this wrestlemania a solid B.

I disagree that people would of been automatically pissed off by Undertaker losing. Yes if Undertaker lost clean with a pin by Shane to the Undertaker, I agree people could of been salty. However, if that loss came from a scenario that included Vince laughing at ring side, reinforcing the idea that Taker is Vince's bitch, then Taker turns around and flips him off and eats the pin, proving that he ain't nobody's bitch. Instead, turned out Vince was right and Taker really is Vince's bitch.

I do have to disagree some Zane. I absolutely loved the choice with having Baron Corbin go over with the battle royal. Since he has been kind of getting shit on lately in NXT where he just can't really get a win when it matters. This can really establish him on either the main roster as a strong badass like he should be or continue building him on NXT, hopefully into a build to a title.

Here's what I think they should do with the Wyatts: On a random RAW, have Wyatt and his family do a promo, saying how Wyatt is the Eater of Worlds or whatever, then have a heel come out (Just to throw out a name, Ryback) and say that the Wyatts have always talked a big game, but, never delivered (i.e. their PPV record) Wyatt looks taken aback, and slowly realises that he is right. He then goes soul-searching, and comes back as a face to beat said heel, then Bray goes after the IC or US title, while two of the other Wyatts go after the Tag Team Championship.

TheEnterestingEnderman I agree. It shouldn't have been last match. I think it was actually the most boring match on the card. But if taker vs shane was last match, then people would have no interest because roman won and will be pissed. Like wrestlemania 30, the crowd was silent after taker lost. Well, till Bryan made batista tap out.

I thought that it would make sense to make Ryder win as Zayn and Owens are interesting by themselves (without a title). The storyline between Owens and Zayn is going to be "Zayn, you cost me my title, I'm going to injure you". Miz and Ziggler are always there to fill the show and have good matches. Sin Cara is Sin Cara and Stardust as a character is probably dieing an Cody is coming back.

Really glad to hear you confirm a lot of my concerns, I just finished it and came straight to youtube to see what you and Whatculture had to say. I'm astonished at just how stupid the matches were booked. We've just watched weeks of AJ fighting Jericho and I thought the only saving grace of having to watch it again at Mania would be to see Jericho put Styles over., (repeat thoughts for Ambrose/Bork) Nope. I feel like the HIAC dragging was mostly down to taker, how looked done in by the time he took his hat off to be honest. The Woman's match and belt renaming was the only saving Grace and they even cheapened that with Ric and the main event? Watching at home it was just brutal, every time Reigns pumped his fist I groaned, even when he had the belt I was waiting for the run out. Someone, anyone must be coming to put a twist in this tale, surely? Nope. P.S Your friend seems like a nice enough dude, ignore the comment trolls :)

I think it was a really good show. I think the WWE wants the outcomes to be unpredictable. Especially in the first 3 matches they did what almost nobody expected, and I guess that was on purpose to give the fans the feeling that in any match of that event everything could happen. A little recommendation: Just enjoy the action. If you care too much about the results, you're going to get pissed off. The best thing about the WWE atm are the matches, apparently they want to keep it unpredictable. So they will continue their 50:50-booking. Just get used to that it's not 6 guys dominating everybody anymore. Losing a match means nothing bookingwise. The loser of today can be a champion next week. AJ Styles recently said, that the win-loss record is not important, what's important is if the people want to see you again. I think this is what the WWE execs told him how they run things today. The biggest draw is the WWE, I think that's how they want it to be. Very understandable after the problems that guys like Bret Hart, HBK, The Rock, Austin, Lesnar and many other guys that thought they were bigger than the WWE caused them.

I just took Mania for what it was and I enjoyed it. I dont care that Roman won the title, I don't really like him but knew it was coming and to be honest I didn't want HHH to retain. I hope that now AJ is #1 contender they will turn Roman into a cocky heel because that's probably the best option for him. Everyone hates him so just let him stick the belt in their faces and say "fuck you, I'm the champ." Of course we all have our own ideas of who we went to win and what we want to happen but imagine how boring it would be if it was just Bryan (previously), New Day, Becky/Sasha and Ryder wearing all the gold all the time because they're who the IWC deem worthy of titles. WWE might be guilty of trying to push guys despite fans not wanting to accept them but come on, this is wrestling - they build that heat so you come back to see if your guy wins in the end. People piss and moan and shit on the results, and then they pay their $9.99 and keep right on watching the next week.

+Wrestling With Wregret I was a bit disappointed by that...although it looks like it's gonna be built into a bigger feud given he's already rematching on Smackdown (ala Kalisto/Del Rio's feud earlier this year) and the family stuff adds a different element. Even then I feel they coulda done a slower burn with this and draw it out a little more before making a switch. Still happy Ryder got his moment though, very well deserved for sure and seems like he's finally getting the longer term push he didn't and should have gotten before.

The Fearmoths depends what they do with him, his bearded look I think makes a difference too in presentation. If he quickly goes back to how he was, I tend to agree with you then....but I don't know that that will be the case now. Time will tell.

The event had a series of missed opportunities. The biggest two for me (or "how I would have booked it"): Hell in a Cell - After Shane pulled the bump of the night, Taker should have taken him in, tombstone, one-two-raise his arm. Taker grabs the mic: "This kid PROVED that he loves this business. And there's NO-ONE in this business that understands that more than me. This kid deserves to run the show." Taker rolls over, puts an unconscious Shane's arm over him, gets pinned and Shane is in charge of Raw. Vince walks out, mic in hand, says Taker will never wrestle in Mania ever again. Taker grabs mic, says "Wrestlemania is my back-yard. I do whatever I want here, including losing to put you to the sidelines!" and drops it. Starts walking slowly towards Vince who runs back in. Tomorrow at Raw, GM Shane O'Mac brings back "The American Bad-ass", tells him that he will Wrestle in Mania as long as he is the boss, another huge pop. Main event - Vince interferes to Roman's advantage. Roman turns heel to EVERYONE's cheers, Vince says that Shane may be in charge of the company but he is in charge of the championship, Hunter does DX chop to the new champ, turns face, 3 more months in the rivalry.

Worst Wrestlemania since 27. Felt very underwhelming and the booking was weird as fuck. It's like they crushed a lot of the fans hopes and tried to somehow make up for it by making an underdog win the IC title in the first match of the night.
