I always like to imagine that the only reason why the Dungeon match even happened was because Stu Hart had some renovating in the old basement planned, so it didn't matter if they did more damage to the room. Also, I just want to believe that Bret was there to see the match in person & was just behind the cameras, and after everything was done they all went back up & had lunch, or something. I love it when you review shows from early in your wrestling fandom, because even though we’re about the same age we have very different perspectives. In 1998 you were still getting into wrestling, whereas I got into it as a little kid at the tail end of Hulkamania. I was already becoming a jaded and cynical fan at the ripe old age of 16 thanks to things like the Montreal Screwjob, meanwhile you were looking at wrestling through the fresh, innocent eyes of a kid who hadn’t yet experienced the Dungeon of Doom or King of the Ring ‘95.
