Hey Thomas! I was just gifted a real POS slant bolster that I'd like to take a shot at restoring and I'm hoping you can answer my question. When I look into the blade channel there is no spring, nor does there appear to be any type of slot to seat the spring into, is your knife a 1-piece backspring, or is it the kind where you slide the spring into the slot at the butt-end? I thought it might be coil spring fired, but then I saw the round spring in your knife in this video, so they are obviously leaf spring fired. That is a gorgeous restore you showed us in this video, I wish you had more knives available for sale, you have some mad skills brother!😎

The slant bolsters usually use a separate leaf spring although some are one piece. Mine was a two piece and I replaced the spring.

@@tommyw68 I would buy that in a heart beat awesome work! Any chance of making something similar?

@@alexshafir8199 bo/bc knives are good and bad. The mechanism itself is not that strong and there is usually a decent amount of blade play. Yes I would consider doing something similar but there would probably be some design changes.

My gal would like that. So, I would have to do a lousy job of hiding it, if I bought it....I wish I could buy it!

Do you see a big future for switchblades now that American States are decriminalizing automatic knives for Everyday carry?😊

Automatic knives are and have been legal in many states for many years. There are common misunderstandings that they are illegal in most places. Even here in Florida, some police still think they are illegal. I am a lawyer- I have had to "educate" many officers.
