That's my wife and I on the right side! We didn't catch your name in the restaurant. A friend saw us and sent us the link. We did opt for the filet upgrade and it was delicious. Although, since they just bumped the price from $10 to $18, we will probably just stick with the strip steak next time. We do eat here regularly and every chef is different. Some much better than others. We still enjoy the experience and it is one of our favorites. We may take up your advice and try Kobe. There is one right in front of our resort.

We have a great hibachi place near me and for less than what you paid we get soup, shrimp flambé, filet mignon, white rice, fried is extra but what I get, veggies, and noodles. So good and plenty of food to take home some. Also some really fun entertainment! I would have also been a little disappointed by your meal!

All the restraunts should have two options. Reg and expedited. It makes sense for APs who go all the time to want to take time and have more of a dining experience, while people like me who only get to FL every few years want to be in and out within an hour to get back to the parks/rides.

Thanks for saving us soooo much time and money. No fried rice as a start would be a deal killer for us. Throw in lousy portions and crazy “Disney Premium Pricing” (Ryan has to be full of it about real hibachi restaurants)😂

We last went to Teppan Edo five years ago, and we've never been back. It's just not that great. Like you said, there are much better options outside of Disney.

You’re such a divisive vlogger/critic. My BF says you’re overly critical and I am team Kristen 100%. There are so many Disney vloggers who just love everything because it probably gets better clout from Disney, but this is the real hot take. You’re spot on almost all of the time. You love Disney and food BUT you keep it real that the food is expensive and Disney should come with HIGH expectations and then when they’re not met even compared to benihana it’s a let down. This is the content that needs to be seen because if I’m going to spend $50 (plus Canadian exchange) on a meal I want to be IMPRESSED

The Chef humming "The Chicken Dance" when putting the chicken on the hot grill! lol Every visit of ours to Teppan Edo I found the flavor very lacking. I had only gone because my daughter liked the hibachi experience. I never had the steak (I don't eat red meat), but have had both, the chicken and shrimp, and wasn't a fan of neither. Now that my daughter is grown, I choose where I eat based on what tastes good to me. I haven't been to Teppan Edo in a few years now, and based on your review, it hasn't changed, so I don't see a trip there in my near future. I got the Frozen Wafer on my "must try" list for our trip next month.

So what you’re saying is…the locally owned hibachi restaurant here in TN is better than the Disney one in Epcot. Good to know. The one here even does the oil Mickey. I always have enough leftovers to get 2 more meals from the one here too. Also, I buy Hi-Chew from target and Amazon all the time if anyone wants to try it without going to Epcot. That ice cream thing looks good though. I hope I get to try it someday.

Ooof that’s expensive for hibachi!! But I know it’s Disney. The one we go to (I’m in NY near Manhattan) it’s so so good and flavorful and I can get a filet mignon / shrimp combo for $37!! Plus I get soup with that in addition to all the stuff that place serves. AND we get hibachi fried rice! But the number 1 reason I don’t go there is bc I have one at home I love so it’s not a special unique experience but also bc usually it DOES take up a lot of time and when I’m in the parks, I don’t want my dinner to take up too much of my park time.

Ramune: you got it, but you remove the plunger T out of the top cap. Press down… and then when you go to drink make sure the dimples (where the marble falls into) are toward your body as they are meant to catch the marble as you drink so it doesn’t roll back into the opening and stop the flow.
@lindadeutsch59615 ай бұрын
Kristen, I am glad it was under seasoned so I would be able to add soy sauce etc..Most food is so salty at Disney. I would rather have just enough to eat because we are staying on property and the refrigerators are not cold enough for leftovers
@cynthiagutierrez28775 ай бұрын
There's no excuse for them not giving larger noodle portions, as noodles are really inexpensive, it would really help fill up the plate and customers wouldn't feel the portion was too small. What a bummer. I do think the portion shouldn't be big enough to have left overs, because who wants to carry left overs around with them in a theme park. But it should have been bigger than what you got for sure. And under-seasoned too??? Noooo. I wonder if the sushi is good at least.

I enjoyed it when we went years ago , probably 15 years. I ordered exact same thing you did. I know my husband was starving afterwards. Your chef didn’t build Olaf or Mickey from the onions which I have seen others post. The show is best part of Hibachi, and it’s usually a long meal. Shocked you were there only an hour. I agree with you 100% on this review. I have eaten at Teppan Edo only once, but the one thing that sticks out for me is the white rice they give you. I love how the kid in blue across from you was 100% not impressed by any of the proceedings. You go, teen who would rather be at Universal than with his family at Disney. You'll discover Disney nostalgia again as an adult. I enjoyed Teppan Edo the times I've been there. The staff are very nice and tolerate my attempts to communicate in my very limited Japanese with good grace. But it is very pricey for what you get and if you want an experience unique to the Disney theme parks then look elsewhere.

the ramune soda is around $3 at an Asian store, the plastic cap has a plastic part that you detach and use as the plunger to open, I generally get the original, your also paying for the show that comes with the meal, that restaurant is a knock off of Benihana's, which is half the price, everything at Disney is O.P., just a query, whose older, you or your brother
