As an independent artist this was self funded by Dimash, not only did he write the music but he also wrote the screenplay too. Plus proving his acting chops in the meantime. Over 400 people were involved in the making of this music video, Dimash spared no expense to make sure his anti war message smacked everyone straight in the face.

‘The Story of One Sky’ - an important fact: Every 3 years the ‘Congress of the Leaders of the World and Traditional Religions’ is held in Kazakhstan. The Congress reports directly back to the United Nations and the final message at the end of ‘One Sky’ is a quote from the report submitted in 2019. In September 2022 Dimash was invited to perform at the ‘Seventh Congress of the Leaders of the World and Traditional Religions’ and actually premiered (singing ‘live’) “The Story of One Sky” to over 100 religious leaders at this ‘closed’ event. These leaders responded with a standing ovation and referred to ‘One Sky’ as the unofficial anthem of the event. The following day Dimash was presented to Pope Francis and was given a medal and he received a blessing from the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Whamad el-Tayeb. So, choosing both the quote at the end of the song/MV and what he chooses to do in the ‘vocalise’ section of the song then becomes, to me anyway, more poignant and powerful. In the ‘vocalise’ there is, at the very least, the Muslim call to prayer, the Jewish Shofar, the Om of Buddhism and Hinduism and the bells of the Christian church so he has woven musical references of the world’s faiths together! Also Dimash: * Has been appointed the ‘United Nations IOM Goodwill Ambassador’ * Has been appointed ‘Goodwill Ambassador for the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions’ * Has performed for over twelve Heads of State * Has met with the Secretary General of the United Nations For me, it is so good to know that an artist who advocates so strongly for peace is being heard by these leaders.

The 3 kids that were on the beach, and friends at the time, have grown up and life has changed them. Both boys were in love with the girl, but she chose Dimash. They were married and had a daughter (the one killed). The other guy was the rejected one who became the dictator. The girl was pregnant and giving birth to their second child. Dimash did die, and the 'look alike' at the end was the baby that had been born all grown up. He was following his father's legacy to help free the people and move on to a better world.

This is all Dimash. He composed the music, had his words put into English lyrics, and produced the song. He worked on the music for three years between all his studies, work and his solo concert tours. He had the idea for the video content, wrote the script, the screenplay and storyboard and worked closely with the director to make sure that his vision was made perfectly clear. Every vocal sound you hear apart from the dictators speech, is Dimash, high notes and all the very low notes, the throat singing, the feminine voice every single note is him.There were no other vocalists involved. He appeared as the main character from him under the boardwalk as the soldier to the end. The kids grew to be the soldier, his wife and the Dictator. The little girl that was killed was his daughter and the baby born as he was cradling her body was his son who grew to look just like his father and led the pilgrims towards the light. This is what is in Dimash's heart, he is so anti war, he also loves children and he uplifts them at every opportunity, its part of Kazakh culture. More movie details: More details about the film: (1) The two boys competed for the girl's attention; (2) The character (who Dimash represents as an adult) created a symbol to confirm the friendship between the three, after being saved by his friend; (3) Still in the video we see the girl choose "Dimash" and then they get married and have the little girl (who was killed) as a daughter and the mother is pregnant with another boy; (4) The oldest boy (who saved "Dimash" from drowning) does not accept being abandoned by the girl and becomes a dictator president/general; (5) Dimash becomes a soldier who decides to return from combat to protect his war refugee family; (6) Dimash finds his daughter dead and thinks that his wife had also died, so he decides to take revenge on his friend; (7) He kills the dictator and is killed regretting the violence he committed in life; (8) Dimash's wife is well received by people of different religions who agree that Dimash's son is someone special; (9) The wife dies in childbirth and Dimash's son becomes a leader who leads the refugees to a better place of tolerance, respect and acceptance.

Этот клип Димаш начал снимать в самом начале войны в Украине или даже до ... Съемки велись в двух местах: в Кенигсберге - немецком городе, который по результатам Второй мировой войны был окуппирован и перешел СССР , а затем россии и стал назыааться Калининград. И вторая локация - это каньон Шарын в Казахстане. Ввбор Кенигсберга не случаен. В этом городе шли ожесточенные бои в 1945 г. Город этот - символ милитаризма. Так уж совпало, что накануне премьеры клипа 21 сентября 2022 г Путин объявил мобилизацию и сотни тысяч молодых мужчин уехали из россии , что бы не стать убийцами и не быть убитыми. Многие из них нашли прибежище в Казахстане. Когда Димаш показывал этот клип 23 сентября 2022 г в Алматы , по этому городу в поисках крова ходили тысячи людей, убежавших от войны...

The lyrics of the song and Russian poet Lilia Vinogradova and the video direction by Alina Veripya! Dimash is the boy that drowns, his friend that saves him is the evil leader, the women giving birth is his wife and the young girl who dies after the birth of the child. The child is Dimash at the end of the film leading the world towards peace. I don't believe there is a musician on this planet that can top this one. Thanks for your reaction. This was Dimash's masterpiece. Took him 3 years to compose the music, and make the MV, which is really like a mini movie. He produced it, and acted in it. I cry every time I watch this, especially the scene where he found his little girl shot dead by the solders. My heart ached with him and I cried with him. The pain of losing a child... This was the first song I heard him full out SCREAMING! With so much pain in his voice... Many Dears suggested that the LIVE version was even better. Please check that one out. He premiered this song at his 2022 Almaty concert. At the end of the song, he was completely spent. There is only 1 Dimash. No one else can sing like him. Period. Dear from PA, USA

Be sure and check out his live performance of the score at Almaty concert. There is the official version with different perspectives between Dimash, the audience and film shots. And a fancam version focusing solely on Dimash. I personally prefer the latter for it's impact although it's not perfect as far as sound quality. But I think it's good quite enough. Your choice. Or watch one in your own time and react to the other. Whatever...it's worth watching. He sings this 9 minute score half way through his 3hr concert. It's a steller piece of work. Took him 3 yrs to write and produce. Always enjoy your reactions. Keep on playing. Like your music. Good stuff

I saw Dimash performing it live several times since Almaty and every single time, it is an uppercut to my soul. Great reaction, thank you. Our Dimash is very vocal about the futility and human cost of war. He detests war and has stated that wars are always between two people not two nations. He has said that he is 'only a singer' so all he can do is 'use his voice. Dimash composed the music and wrote the screen play. This was a project 3 years in the making on and off in-between commitments in many countries and his homeland not to mention his concerts of which there was four in 2022 alone. Dimash premiered The Story of One Sky live at his concert in Almaty, Qazaqstan on the 23rd September and the video released on the 24th. The emotion, heart and soul is real and I believe this was a way for him to vent his frustration at current world events. Kazakhstan became independent in 1991. Director Alina Veripya is second to none in her field and portrayed everything magnificently. I believe she also directed ‘Okay’ for Dimash which was a great video. The Story of One Sky is an absolute mind blowing masterpiece and deserves unrivalled recognition from all corners of the earth. This makes you sad, cry and smile but leaves you questioning the direction we as a humans are travelling. Dimash promised something epic and that was a colossal understatement. He delivered as always. I would strongly suggest watching the live version from Dimash’s Almaty concert. You won’t regret it.💙💕🕊

Hello friend! Thank you very much for an amazing and sincere reactions! When I first watched this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching, to say the least! Have you noticed that Dimash is the main solder right from the very beginning of the war scene, when he was walking under the overpass, also when he was shot in the arm, many people miss that? Dimash has worked very hard for 3 years composing the music for this song, and around 20 days to make this MV. It turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts, not only for this MV, but for trying to bring the world together in love, peace, and harmony and through his many charities. He is a Legend in the making and will go down in History. This is my breakdown of the story, as I see it: This mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, and the necklace which was created by the young Dimash and shared with his friends symbolizing lifelong friendship and unity. The boys both loved the same girl, but she loved Dimash, so the other boy grew resentful over time, started a war, using the symbol of the necklace given to him by his friend Dimash, as the crest on his army uniform. 1) Dimash, was the boy drowning at the beginning and at the end. 2) The Piper, is the one who saved Dimash, became the leader, and was killed by Dimash at the end. 3) The young girl, who died in childbirth, became Dimash’s future wife, had two children together; a daughter who was killed by the Piper's army; and the birth of a son who inherited the necklace from his mother…, they were all affected by the war. “People are the caravan…. Life is the way”: Dimash spoke these words in Kazakh, when he found his daughter dead. For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. The Pilgrim or (Shepard or a Wise Man) at the end of the video was Dimash’s baby boy, born in his image and grows up to guide the Representatives of different religions and race from different Nations to the light, for a new beginning living together in peace, tolerance, love, and harmony. Thank you for your reaction to this masterpiece. Dimash worked on this for 3 years. He composed the music, worked with a lyricist to get the meaning he wanted, wrote the script, sang, acted and financed this wonderful work. Dimash is all about peace. The 3 youths from the Requiem died on the same day. The girl became his wife and the girl who was killed was their daughter. She died in childbirth of their son. "Dimash" at the end was the son grown up to lead others to the light. It takes watching this many times to catch all the symbolism. His mission is not only to share Kazakh culture and song, but to bring people together through the use of music. Music has no boarders. That is why it is so special that people from over 60 countries attend his concerts. By listening to him, his Dears have learned songs in many languages. He often participates in cultural exchanges between Kazakhstan and other countries. Yesterday, he performed at a state dinner in Paris. We can't wait to see where fate takes him next.

War here is a means of expressing the contrast of what happens when we lose love for one another. It is about the call to unite, to stop dividing each other along national, social, religious lines in order to preserve life, love, friendship, and the land for our children. Story: The clip is divided into several parts. One day the friend saves the protagonist when he almost drowns. The three children are friends and their common external symbol is the necklace (gnomon). Both boys are in love with the girl. But she chooses “Dimash”. The other boy feels hurt. The pendant is a gnomon, the shadow hand of a sundial, which served as a nautical compass in ancient times. This symbol is upside down on the uniforms. (That's not how it works.) It's war. The children are grown and the two boys have parted ways. Dimash's childhood friend has become the country's president/general and mercilessly follows his twisted ideology. The Piper - based on the German legend “The Pied Piper of Hamelin”: The Pied Piper is a man who attracts rats with his flute. But the city lords don't want to pay him the money they had promised him. In revenge, he lures the town's children with his flute and disappears with them. The Piper in the song carries the idea of a saving war: “Only war will lead us to peace. Only the strongest can find love in their hearts. You must be strong enough to give freedom to the world. A world where every city, every home is one. We accompany everyone who is ready to start this new life. Anyone who resists has no place with us. I choose freedom. The world is my oyster and I want to give it to you… War is the way to a united people!” The main character, Dimash, also speaks of unity, of peace, but through the lens of kindness and love. He's struggling, he's confused, he's in shock, but he has to save his family - his pregnant wife and his young daughter. This is a great summary of Dimash's masterpiece. However, Dimash is not drowning, he is doing the CPR on his friend, so he can't do both drown and CPR. Then he kills his former friend, as revenge for his daughter's death, and in turn, he is killed. U r right, everybody should see this; I am disappointed that it doesn't have even 10 million views, it deserves much more.

As a boy, he is offended and stands alone on the bank because the girl goes to 'Dimash' who makes the necklaces. The story also comes full circle when the person saved from drowning ends up dying in the water.
