Not critically underrated but commercially not as successful as the music deserved.

I have been searching for this very performance on KZbin for over 10 years now The reason being is that my brother who lives in the tri-state area gave me a CD of this performance roughly 20 years ago, and I made the mistake of loaning it to a coworker about 10 years ago who never gave it back to me. It was the only copy my brother had and I haven’t heard it since that time. I’m grateful that you posted this for that reason, and the mere fact that this is one of the most underrated rock ‘n’ roll bands of all time. My brother had the privilege of filling in at bass at one of their shows years back. This is one of the best live bands I have ever seen as I saw them at a small venue called Tuxedo Junction in Danbury Connecticut back in1994. Absolutely positively dynamic and electric show.

Saw these guys as a high school student around 1989. Two years later, I used my University's money to book them for a show on campus. They killed it both times and were class A gentlemen.

This brings back so many wonderful memories! We never miss a Smithereens gig. Stopped counting the number of time we saw them years ago (50 times). Miss you Pat. - Anthony

Blood & Roses was the peak of the Smithereens, the CLASSIC Album that turned every song into fitting the Times.

They did a stint of shows in the summer of 2008. I was 19 and went to see them and they just tore it up. Mike Mesaros hadn’t rejoined the band yet, but it was still amazing nonetheless. We miss you, Pat. The Smithereens live was something otherworldly.

Did they re-record vocals in post? They seem too good. If live, that's quite a feat!
@ebeep8 ай бұрын
They did. There's the original version on KZbin.
