Hello! Sorry to go off-topic, but may I ask which program you use to record your screen with this level of quality?

It’s the built in nvidia screen recording that’s made for recording gaming.

I write 30k romance novellas and I was surprised it said to stay in Poppy’s POV only. Is this a shifter romance thing? Also, is there a reason you didn’t do an outline before generating the prose? (I haven’t watched the full video yet - so I might have missed that if you do it later.)
@WritingWithAIMadeEasy19 күн бұрын
I was surprised too since I normally alternate POVs but it'll work well still. Toward the beginning of the conversation it created a story flow which I used as a rough outline, this is the message it gave- Let's make her human and unaware of shifters - that revelation can add perfect tension and drama mid-story! Here's a detailed breakdown: RESCUED BY THE LION Setting: Small mountain town, middle of nowhere during a snowstorm FMC (Sunshine): - Road-tripping food blogger - Perpetually optimistic despite life's curveballs - Makes jokes when nervous - Totally self-sufficient but her car is her weak spot - Never stays in one place long - Chatters when nervous (which drives him crazy) MMC (Grumpy Lion): - Gruff, antisocial mechanic - Only mechanic for 50 miles - Lives above his garage - Protective instincts go haywire around her - Growly and short-tempered - Secret softie (but only she gets to see it) Story Flow: Day 1: - Car breaks down in snowstorm - He rescues her (grudgingly) - Roads closed - forced to stay in his apartment - She drives him nuts with questions and cheerfulness - Sexual tension during dinner Day 2: - Morning awkwardness - She helps in garage to "earn her keep" - Almost-kiss moment under a car - He shifts accidentally when protecting her from falling equipment - She freaks out (but is oddly fascinated) - Big emotional revelation scene Day 3: - Coming to terms with shifter reality - More intense attraction now that secret's out - She sees his soft side with an injured animal - First kiss - Steamy scene - Reality of her leaving looms Conflict: - His need for privacy vs her social media life - Her wanderlust vs his rooted life - His fear of exposure vs her natural openness - Trust issues on both sides Resolution: - She realizes home isn't a place, it's a person - He learns opening up doesn't mean vulnerability - She finds a way to travel AND keep home base with him - He embraces change (a little) Key Scenes: 1. Rescue in storm 2. Forced bed sharing 3. Accidental shift reveal 4. First kiss in garage 5. Steamy scene 6. Grand gesture ending Tone: - Lots of banter - Sexual tension - Humor mixed with genuine emotion - Cozy forced proximity - Heat level: medium to high This keeps the story focused on their relationship while using the shifter reveal as a mid-point catalyst rather than a complex subplot. The forced proximity and grumpy/sunshine dynamic can really shine in the tight quarters of his apartment above the garage.

One thing I've always wondered about with Shifters: Clothing. I mean, shifting tends to either leave you naked and having to redress, or, it rips your clothes to shreds depending on the type of shifter. How do they get around it? (I tend to just leave the nudity in as my shifters aren't modest. If the people around them complain...oh well, don't look)
@WritingWithAIMadeEasy16 күн бұрын
I leave them nude generally too, but in your book you can decide how it works, I've also seen magical clothes work too

Can you do this same process via Raptor Write? Is there an advantage to skipping RW and just staying in one continuous chat with Open Router?

Are you still writing with raptor as well? Asking because I'm lacing up my track shoes to learn a process that suits me. A couple of my friends are on novelcrafter and never even tried raptor. I've only ever written prompting inside the LLM like Gemini, Claude, or ChatGPT and copy pasting. What's your favorite software and why?
@WritingWithAIMadeEasy18 күн бұрын
yes, I have a book in raptor at all times. I have 6 books going at a time between the different programs and in different stages of editing. I show very little on this channel.

I was about to ask the same question, about Raptor and Novelcrafter. Are you still using Novelcrafter or have you found that Claude projects can do all the same things? I haven't tried projects yet, but I'm curious. Does Claude projects give you the ability to chat with your story? What about codex, do files you upload work as a codex of sorts in Claude projects? I kind of fell in love with the codex when I finally tried NC, as well as the ability to chat with my story and not have to constantly explain everything. Also, are the new Claude models less strict about the violence and sexual content? (Think dark romance) Or if I subscribe to Claude will I still need separate AI to handle that?
@WritingWithAIMadeEasy6 күн бұрын
@@jennab176 I still use NC and RW daily, just for different things. NC is collaborative so that's the reason I go back to it. It's also mobile though not in any easy way like Claude Pro is. Claude does everything that NC does and far easier. You will still need a seperate AI to handle dark romance. None of mine are in Claude Pro. It will write soft NSFW scenes but they always need to be redone completely and it will do some darker stuff but not much. If it's dark I use a different program.
@jennab1765 күн бұрын
@@WritingWithAIMadeEasy When you say Claude Pro does everything NC does and far easier, can you give any specifics? I'd really love a comparison of the two, and would definitely watch a video on that. Or if you don't have time for that, you can just answer me here. :)
@WritingWithAIMadeEasy5 күн бұрын
@@jennab176 mobile - claude is much easier to navigate mobile, codex - you just add files to the project and can delete and replace them as they need updating. Where NC wins - if you keep your book within NC (I always have an up to date copy outside of NC) Claude doesn't have a draft that you can work on, also if you want to change AIs (bring in a spicy one for instance) you can't with Claude, also NC wins in that you don't have message limits, where Claude wins is that I can get larger outputs and revise whole chapters in one prompt without it getting side tracked. Also, with NC I'm paying for the AI plus the subscription, with Claude it's just the subscription. Where NC wins over Claude though is the collaborative tier.
@alnelson113119 күн бұрын
This was very cool! But i found it really frustrating how Claude keeps trying to rush through the story. That’s my perennial problem too.
@WritingWithAIMadeEasy18 күн бұрын
I agree, and it takes work to tell it to slow down repeatedly. Having a more detailed outline would have contributed to a better result in that way but I'm also happy with what the final output was.
@jm772017 күн бұрын
What was the purpose of writing 30k vs say 60 or 80k novel length? And are you just using whatever it gives you without coming up with individual ideas for each chapter?
@WritingWithAIMadeEasy17 күн бұрын
@@jm7720 I could do a 4 hour or 6 hour video and maybe I will someday but generally 2 hours is the max I have without getting interrupted. And I started with a basic outline and then check in with it often. I’m not just taking what it gives me without any feedback like I did in my novel crafter video series.
