It's that time of the week again: let's do some Postcrossing! This time it's going to Germany and I initially thought I had a great postcard. It seemed to tick off many wishes. Unfortunately it also has a "do not". I hope I did not make a mistake!

Thank you, I'm glad I made a good choice! I do like the surprises and there are such beautiful things out there, which you may have never thought of! I do mention some "ideas". At first I didn't, but then I noticed most people do and I enjoy being able to look for those wishes. So I thought others might like it too. But of course they are just "ideas" not "demands". Do you list any preferences in your profile?

@@stationerypanda I actually do tell about things I like doing etc and then I do give some ideas as well, as you said, for those who love lists lol but then I also mention that any kind of card will be appreciated and I'd like a surprise too😊

I Not like tham because i Not See very good and the small pictures i Not can See good. I not know the reason of the other peoples but maby it can help u to understand why some peoples Not like

Thank you! I think multiviews, singleviews, all cards honestly can be very nice. But you're right, a lot of people don't like multiviews. I don't think they all have visual problems.

@@gehtdichnixan876 Thank you for explaining. That makes a lot of sense. I can imagine a 3D card is more difficult too if you have visual issues. But there are probably also people who just don't like them and don't have an issue.

I think she will like it. I also enjoy looking for the perfect postcard according to the recipient's wishes, but sometimes is just not 100% possible. I always do my best though, and I see you too, so I'm sure she will appreciate that 😊

I think that she will love the card that you have selected. Sometimes the wishes and demands get a little out of hand, don't you think? I would also not like reading a profile in all capital letters. You are right that it is like you are screaming at me. I don't know the age of this woman, but maybe she is unaware of internet etiquette. 💜

It turns out I was worried for no reason. It actually arrived yesterday and they favourited it! But yeah I wish I hadn't been so nervous about it. I agree. This profile was still OK, but sometimes I definitely see some "Karens". "Demands" seems to be the right word for their "wishes"!

Your postcard turned out beautiful! I don't like when people write things in capital letters, too. It sounds rude and , at the end of the day, the decision on which type of postcard to choose should be up to the sender and not the receiver. I think it's ok to have a wishlist and kindly ask not to receive some types of postcards, as long as the person remembers that it is not the sender's obligation to comply with their requests.

Thank you! Yes, you are right. I wonder why people write in caps. Do they not realize how it comes across? Or do they not care? And the rules clearly state you can't make any demands, but some people are not here for connecting but collecting. This profile wasn't that bad at all, but I've come across people demanding that you send a postcard they haven't received yet or they won't register it! Meaning you would have to check thousands of received cards😳

@@stationerypanda If you see these who demand cards they haven't receive yet, you can report her/him to the staff because it's against rules to say that you don't register all the cards.

I agree, I always feel a little intimidated and sad when people write in capital letters or also when they have a lot of demands on what they don't want to receive. I understand when people write that they don't want, for example, religious or erotic ones as receiving such a card could make them uncomfortable or trigger them in a way, but if someone's profile is basically just a list of demands and especially if you can see they are sending the same card to every person themselves... it doesn't seem very fair to me. Thankfully there are so many kind and wonderful people on Postcrossing :) I think you really chose the perfect postcard and I believe she will be very happy. I also am in love with the little 'book papers', do you remember where you got them by any chance? I've been really enjoying your videos. I recently came back to the UK after spending a few months with family in Germany and since the postage is so incredibly high here, I can't write many postcards, and mainly stick to penpalling, but your videos have been a great substitute for me. Thank you for doing them :)

I feel the same way. I did have a profile once of someone who was only sending the exact same card to everyone. While pretending to be thoughtful and wanting beautiful cards. That was before I was filming. I had to take a minute before I decided to still send a nice card. I didn't want to lower my standards and at least the photo is on my Postcrossing profile!

I'll have to get them next time I do an Aliexpress order ☺️ I think that's a good point what you mentioned about not wanting to lower your standard. I started in 2020 and I have 400 cards written now, and I feel very similar. If I get a profile I sometimes don't put too much effort into decorating because I feel they are doing if for collecting anyway. But it just so much fun choosing the right postcard for someone 😄 no matter how rude the profile seems (though it of course sometimes dims the excitement a tiny bit)

In my experience recipients never really comment on it either. But making these videos really helps, because now there are people who appreciate the effort I put into it!

@@stationerypandahopefully soon :D but yeah, 400 cards is a little mind blowing, I really went a bit wild during the lockdowns :D The past 1-2 years I've had less time to write, but it's still fun whenever I do it. People also hardly ever comment on the decorations on the cards I send them, so that's actually a good thing you pointed out! It must feel really nice that they are being appreciated by people now that you're showing them on KZbin :)
