Great video. I have not started yet to exchange postcards. I will soon. With washi tape, does it stick well and reach the person still stuck on? I find so many washi tapes, we need to use a glue stick to make sure it sticks.

Thank you! I hope you will enjoy exchanging postcards😄I've not heard back from anyone that the washi tape fell off. I also have that issue. Sometimes it does not stick well and I also have to use some glue or clear tape. Or I put it in an envelope. Some people say more expensive washi tapes stick better or certain brands, but it seems random to me. I do try to keep them out of the sun😅Enjoy your Postcrossing☺

@@stationerypanda I signed up and when I was ready clicked for an address and it was given right away. I have a card to send now but in the future, I am not sure where to buy continental postcards. I really do not think our gas stations have them like when I was little. General stores had them too. Maybe I have to go to Ebay but expensive to ship to Canada.

@@ashmaxer No worries, you do not have to send a continental postcard! You can send any postcard you'd like. I also struggled to find affordable postcards from my country. Eventually I was lucky to buy some vintage second-hand. If you want a bunch of nice, affordable cards I recommend looking on Amazon. They have postcard boxes, I have quite a few of those. Or maybe a website such as Temu or AliExpress, but the quality can be bad.

Great vid! Love to watch PC writing sessions. This is the first one of your vids YT suggested to me. Guess I'll have a lot of others to watch and catch up on. Though your tablet battery level is stressing me out. 😅 Being the first sender to a new postcrosser is always such a big responsibility! I feel like I got to hook them well and good into the hobby. Though at times they just never register it, which is a shame. The washitape issue tends to happen with those bought from AliExpress :( Got the same problem with my washis from there. Guess they're just not as good of a quality.

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. This was my very first video, so no more tablets running on low battery haha. It is a shame if they never register it and against the rules, but I guess we can't do much against it when they decide not to continue anyway. Maybe they get impatient waiting for their first card to arrive? Some of my AliExpress washi does stick well, so it seems to depend on the seller/roll how good the quality is. But for the price I don't expect premium quality😃I hope you'll enjoy my other videos too!

You got beautiful postcards, Panda. I have never gotten cards with such close numbers, and the same names. It is really a big coincidence. Some would say it is serendipity. :) The dragon card is very unique, I loved the puffins, the doggy pups - every card you got is special. Thanks for showing them to us! 🙂

Indeed so many favorites on her wall. I wished postcrossing should have a special wall for favorites. Because sometimes I found out people has favorites on their wall, but that are not the cards which they got themselves but seen at other profiles. And sometimes they have only received ones on their favorite wall. Its always so nice to see your way of searching for a postcard for someone. I think finding a matching card and decorating it, is the most satisfying part of sending postcards.

Giethoorn looks like such a beautiful place. I’ve been to Amsterdam several times…MANY years ago, but never spent much time outside of the city, unfortunately. I have a few family members who live in Emden, Germany, which is fairly close to the border.

Wat een leuke variatie van multiview kaarten heb je!!! Persoonlijk vind ik dat je tegenwoordig nog maar zo weinig kaarten van NL kan kopen in shops. Grappig ook ik vond Giethoorn geweldig toen ik kind was, maar nu ik er 3 jaar geleden nogmaals naartoe ben geweest viel het me eigenlijk best wel tegen. Het was lang niet zo overweldigend meer, eigenlijk best jammer dat de herinnering nu "beschadigd" is. Het was weer een leuke en fijne video. Dank je voor het delen. Fijne week en veel brievenbusgeluk

Dank je! Ja, dat vind ik ook. Deze heb ik van Marktplaats. Daar heb ik meer geluk haha. Ah dat is jammer, maar dat risico heb je natuurlijk altijd. De hoeveelheid toerisme in dat gebied is ook enorm gestegen dus dat verpest de pittoreske sfeer misschien ook wel een beetje. Jij ook een fijne week met een blije brievenbus😊

I like both! And I also receive both. Some penpals don't decorate at all, or very little. And we send very long letters. Some only one or a few cards and lots of beautiful decorations. They are both nice😊

Oh that's awesome, I hope you'll love it whenever you do! My recommendation: try not to just visit Amsterdam/the west, but also other places if possible. We have lovely nature such as forests here too (and no dangerous animals in it). And many castles😊You should definitely try some Dutch foods/snacks too!

Hi Panda, I enjoy your videos so much! Beautiful card and decoration. She will not have a choice but to really like it. I think the starry night is excellent, also because one of Van Gogh's most famous artworks is called "starry night". I also appreciate that you give links to where you bought the products you used. ... I agree! I think any such strict requests, like not wanting duplicates when someone has to work through hundreds of cards to establish that. Also restrictions of cards a person doesn't like. Not everybody has a wide selection of cards and huge funding resources. I think one appreciates every card one gets - the connection, the time that went into it, the written content etc. It all just are to appreciate and be thankful for. Lots of best wishes to you! 😊

I wasn't sure if anyone noticed or appreciated it and it does take some time to gather them. So it's good to know it does matter! I agree, not everyone has a large stack or a big budget. And that isn't necessary for this wonderful hobby! It's open for everyone. We can't be picky and I think that is also not the point of Postcrossing. Of course we can write wishes and it's fun to try and fulfill them. But I prefer profiles with DO's instead of DONT's😊Have a great week!

I should haven chosen the same postcard as you did for this person. Me personally always checking the wall of received cards for that person, but when there are too many cards I specify it to a search from NL, otherwise it's not fun to do anymore. This way of filming is fine for me but all written on a piece of paper is fine too. Do what you like the most and feels good!! Have a good week and don't forget to take an umbrella with you when going outside. ☔☔🌧🌧

Its a town with 300 peoples. Or if you like scary cards, a Chopper Statur where birds eats the Brain of an open head? Or if you like Post postcards a Snail who take out the Post for snailmail joke? Things like that.
