Correction: The whole character 我 was evolved from a picture of a Chinese ancient weapon with some sharp knives and a long stick. Unfortunately I can't upload a picture here, so just imagine it's something like a giant cruel fork. We should see 我 as a whole, instead of cutting in halves and analyzing it separately. The original form of 我 had been the character for weapon for hundreds of year. Later it was borrowed for referring to "I, me" , which showed people's pursuit of power in ancient times.
