Ren's Bardcore-Masterpiece, brilliance on so many aspects...poetry, storytellig, guitar skills, singing, acting, rap, cinema, use of the sounds/reverbs of the surroundings, timing (musically and filming in a one take video), the fact it's about abuse and violence, the darkest human reality, makes it even better... etc etc etc - he's another level, his own level... THANK YOU, Ren 🥹🙏🏼 In 2022, Violet was the first video I ever experienced (followed by Hi Ren and Sick Boy and all the others through the night till morning 😅) and it blew me away - I could barely breathe, not to miss a thing...and same as you, I thought - where have you been, how could I miss this natural born artist and why took the KZbin algorythm that long...😅

Ren is a very rare artistic person. Most artists are one thing, like a singer or painter. Some artists are multi-talented, as in they can sing and play multiple instruments. But occasionally you get those generational talents that can do everything. Sing, play, write, act, produce, and Ren is one of those.

Thany again for a great reaction🙂. Ren wrote Jenny and Screech's tales after reading an article about a 14 year old boy who stabbed a prostitute in an attempted robbery. The boy was shot by the police later that evening. This made Ren think about the senseless violence and how desensitized we are to it. And how we fail to stop this transgenerational violence. He also saw Screech been a victim of his history. Because he learned his behaviour from his father and grandfather. Just as Jenny learned her behaviour from her silent mother/grandmother. "It's such a Shame" were the words of a police officer at the scene. Another detail at the beginning of Screech's Tale: When Ren sings "He melted into the black night just like snow" Ren almost disappears in the darkness for a moment in the video as well.

Ren uses every tool in his bag: cadence and flow, how the guitar is played, and used as a percussive instrument AND prop; the setting set the stage , giving you a time and place ; the literary tools of simile , metaphor, alliteration, personification etc to really flesh out each character , each scene, and each Tale, making you feel as if you are watching it performed in real time, and Of course, breaking the fourth wall. Even the ‘overture’ at the beginning of each one sets the tone for what is to come. And you are 100% correct in adding acting to REN’s skills. He manages to speak volumes with his eyes, the look on his face and the angle of his head, as well as his well placed pauses and moments of silence ( MG 1 & MG3 !!). Props to Samuel Perry - Falvey for his brilliant camerawork ( panning in and out in Screech’s Tale as well as in Violet’s Tale - especially When the camera pans up as Ren sings” She ne-ever had a chance “ you can see her chance floating up and out into the black night. If you go back and rewatch it ( you will 😊) listen to the way Ren delivers “ London City Far from pretty “. You will definitely hear contempt in the end. It’s just such a masterpiece and a masterclass in every respect. * Jenny’s Tale and Screech’s Tale were written about 1 year apart. Feeling it was incomplete Ren wrote Violet’s Tale 3 years after Jenny’s. All were released in 2019.

Ren is a modern day bard painting such vivid imagery with his storytelling that it pulls you in and forces you to keep watching - even when it gets physically uncomfortable during Violet’s Tale. And Ren uses this ability to shed light on far too real issues in the world. Ren is special. Anyway great reaction. You got it right. Now you get to wait in eager anticipation with the rest of us, cause Ren has said that he and his cinematographer Sam have plans to film a pilot to pitch to Netflix when Ren has finished treatments in Canada and moves back to the UK. All we know is that it will be in the same raw style as this trilogy, but that is enough for me to say that if Netflix doesn’t give Ren his own show, they are fools.

@kennethmichael54048 ай бұрын
SO much to take in with this brilliant Shakespearean tragedy. I get frustrated with some reactions when it's missed how he describes Jenny....why would a 14 year old be walking the same street a 1000 times, in high heel shoes? Almost no one seems to catch that. Also, for "Screech's Tale", it seems that almost no one catches that Screech's girlfriend and his friend Patrick, happen to be "busy", or not available, at the same time. Consider why. Maybe they were together? Patrick wasn't home...was he with Screech's girl at her place and that's why she was "busy"? It adds a whole other layer to the story. Also consider that Jenny and Screech were born side by side, and essentially died side by side, one street apart. Born on the same day (2005), died on the same day (2019). An entire family, mother and twins that never knew each other, wiped out by a cycle of violence. An abused mother, a 14 year old prostitute, and a 14 year old thug/murderer. There's sheer brilliance in the line "please let my baby stay alive"....at this point you don't yet know that it's twins, but "baby" followed by "stay" can also be read as "babies" because the S in "stay" isn't necessarily separate from "baby". Say it out loud- you'll understand what I mean. Such a clever way to hide the twist reveal while still giving it up at the same time...if you can catch it. Brilliant.Powerful stuff. In "Violet's Tale", the way he uses the acoustics of his environment to accentuate the song is absolute brilliance too....and btw, Ren is self taught on the guitar. Just one of many instruments he plays including drums, bass, & piano.The man is truly special. A prodigy. From what I understand, he wrote the first 2 songs after reading an article about a very young man murdering a young woman in London, he didn't write "Violet's Tale" until a few years later and that one was of his own making. He said that there are 2 songs so far that he wrote, that he knew in his gut were special. "Hi Ren" (of course) and "Violet's Tale". (He was right on both counts imo.)

Now that I've seen what you react to (tool and stuff) - surely, surely do Nightwish - "The Poet And The Pendulum" (Official Live). You'll LOVE it. And you'll get a lot of new subscribers, those nightwish guys are just like the Renegades. :D It's one of the best songs which is a storytelling thing too.

At some point, you really need to watch his "Money Game" trilogy. They progressively get better as you go. You won't regret it.

After watching the entire reaction, I don't think I can suffer thru that slide show frame rate again. I can't watch another video on this channel until that's fixed (it just drives me crazy). Maybe I'll check back from time to time to see if it's sorted.
@SaeedReacts.8 ай бұрын
I am in the proces of trying to fix that. I do have a few videos already recorded so those you might skip.

Liking your reactions so far, just wanted to hopefully give a bit of constructive criticism, definitely look into changing the settings on your camera or upgrading eventually, the frame rate on your video is quite slow creating lag and it's quite distracting, especially when people watch to see your reactions to certain lines etc. Keep up the good work though dude 👍

I think it had to do with my laptop. Have been working on this all day. I think i have found it now. Only problem is i have like 20 videos already recorded 😅. It was driving me crazy today thats for sure! Thanks for letting me know, i do appreciate constructive critisism.

@@SaeedReacts. You're doing realy well, your opinion and the way you related your own experience with those song is realy well said and put togueter, you pause to say meaningfull thing (so never to much) the only little thing is that you camera is lagging a bit, so you look ''off beat'' sometime, but that is a detail ;-) You got it Sir. 👍👍👍

Kennethmichael already said what I wanted to say (and some more 😅) and there are so many elements here that can be interpreted different. Was Jenny and Screech a result of ince*t and why Stevie called her a liar? Etc etc. But I do remember getting my first walkman, even before discman, playing mixed cassettes that was copied from hours and hours waiting in front of the radio to hit record (and do it all over if they started talking before the song finished..) good times 😅
@SaeedReacts.8 ай бұрын
I need to rewatch it again and see if i can catch more clues and nuances. I also had a walkman, but i really got into music a few years later when i got a discman for my birthday.
