Thank you so much for sharing these!! Just remember fellow writer folks, very, very few rules are unbreakable, so take "hard and fast" rules with a grain of salt and let yourself be creative. Especially with the first one, which instructs writers against using 7 specific plot structures--for most of those, I can think of a specific example of a story I really like that use those exact plot structures. I'm not saying he's all wrong, this is just your friendly reminder to weigh suggestions for yourself and not let them stop you from writing what YOU want--someone out there will love it.

You should stock the advice pretty heavily weighted away from your hidden confirmation biases. For we should also remember that every author known for their writing advice who infamously wrote a terrible novel did so while going against that advice. Everybody thinks they're the exception.

“Have you considered therapy” is terrifying because I’m currently working on one that could garner that kind of response

That’s going to be anyone who reads two of the novels that I plan to write in the future. They’re just ideas now, but once I flesh them out…. Disturbing likely isn’t going to be the right word to describe them. Also, I don’t shy away from violence or abuse in my writing, and I don’t mean stuff like SA or just assault in general. Make of that what you will.

Reminder you can use whatever plot twists and beginnings you want, overused or not. ( more so if ur writing fanfiction, if you are to try and publish an actual book..maybe don’t? Idk I’m an autistic teenager )

Thanks :D it's always good to try something new for fun and improvement but i like cliche or cheesy stories. Im kind of scraed to try something new and mess it up but it's mainly because i just like cliche or cheesy stories. Of course to each their own cus deep and high quality storis are important too but i appreciate tou commenting this. Alsow i'm an autistic teen too! ^^

I kind of like 0 to 0 stories. I feel like they can have a wholesome message of how sometimes you dont have to change things about tour life if you're already healthy and happy/ content with it. And i haven't seen that many stories like this but i do like when a character starts of as a neutral character or kind of bored with their lives in a way and then they go trough a life changing story then lose almost evrything that they gained from it and now they go back to how they where at the start the only change being the memories they have that didn't amount to anything. Or the character's memory gets erased and everything goes back to normal but the viewer remembers evrything that the cast had to go trough that all ended in vain.

@@morningglory.2 He's in this three times. There's one of these compilations where the clip he's in is just another TikTokker mocking him, and the top comment on the video is someone talking about how much they hate him, and his advice.

@@futurestoryteller Uh, okay… I don’t see that comment. Wasn’t trying to target the guy either, I was just sharing my thoughts and disagreement. I don’t want anyone to treat him with disrespect.
