Well done. This is a nice video on how to write the quadratic polynomial if you are given the table first, rather than generating a table by evaluating the polynomial over a set of integer inputs. I send out this link to students who need extra help or if they missed my live instruction. The only thing I have to tell them is near the end, the lower case a will look like a two in the video. :-)

Hello! I'm not sure what you mean when you say more than one 0 term - if there are two different y values for one x value then the relation is no longer a function (meaning it cannot be quadratic).

In completing the last step, finding "b," one can not actually ever use the y-intercept (x=0,y=7 in this case), because no longer would an equation in "b" exist after this substitution.

Correct. You've technically already used it by replacing c with 7, so you'll always need to choose a different point than the y-intercept. It should be mentioned in the video but if not, my apologies!

If you can see the symmetry in the table, you may be able to just find the zero term that way. But you can also use the pattern of the second difference to work backwards to find the 0 term.

You will have to choose two unique points and create a system of equations to b and c. A will still be the second difference divided by 2.

Rather than using this method, you would need to create a system of equations where b and c are the values you do not know.
