How would you find the Corresponding Y value and what’s the rule/formula for them?
@thebielecmethod4884 Жыл бұрын
Once you have the equation written out, you replace the x’s with whatever given value you have, then simplify the quadratic down to y= (whatever number you end with) Example: find corresponding y value for x=3 in y=2x^2+4x+3 You now have y=2(3)^2+4(3)+3 18+12+3 Y=33 If this doesn’t help I can make a video showing an example for you. what do I do if the x values do not go up by one?
@thebielecmethod48844 ай бұрын
Usually the best way to go about this would be to create 3 separate equations with replacing the x and y’s in each of the 3 with the values provided. For example (2,8) when replaced with y=ax^2+bx+c, would be 8=a(2)^2+b(2)+c. This would then simplify to 8=4a+2b+c. Once you have the 3 different equations you will solve the system of 3 equations with 3 variables. This will give you the a,b and c values for the quadratic. I’d make a video but I’m on vacation until Saturday. If you still want a video, let me know and I’ll film it when I get back home. Thanks for the question and I hope this helps.
